Thanks to both of you. Jimmy is a kick to talk to - and he always has Linda stories. Someday I'd like to sit the two of them down and do a joint interview.

That might be a first. A synergistic interview. An interview like that would likely be less of the same old thing and prompt whole new territory. Or Jimmy and Susan Horton lol. Imagine an interview that included the woman who inspired so many of his songs. If I am not mistaken Susan is living in Tucson nowadays married to Bobby Ronstadt. I wonder if there is a book that includes essays or interviews of the people who inspired many of our favorite songs? Now that would be an interesting book. I like your style of writing and appreciate that you did this. Thank you again.

Met Jimmy in a bar in NYC about 20 years ago. Great guy and had nice things to say about everyone....including Linda ("No women out there can sing my songs the way she can") Kev

Kev - That was the consensus also when we talked. I told Jimmy that I felt Linda was his best interpreter because she "gets it" better than anyone else--and he agreed. I once told Linda that I thought something "transcendent' happened when she sings his songs; I think she was taken aback by that, but I feel that way. Truly.
ronstadtfanz - Thanks for that - I appreciate it!
