Yes, I was there. She was introduced by Toronto television personality, Marci Ien. Linda looked fantastic. She walked onstage accompanied by her manager. She talked about her grandparents and parents and siblings, her childhood, her career, her friends, her book and her life today. Linda's presentation included photos and video and audio clips. She sat in an armchair with her laptop on a coffee table in front of her and the images were projected on 2 large screens behind her. Her manager sat beside her and assisted her a couple of times with some minor technical issues. After her presentation she answered questions from the evening's host and the audience. She was absolutely charming. She's funny and opinionated. Certainly NOT a Trump fan. We learned that Aaron Neville comes over for dinner often and that she volunteers at the US-Mexican border helping refugee and immigrant families. When asked, she talked about her kids and what they were up to now. The event was part of the lecture series " Unique Lives and Experiences" and was billed as "An Evening with Linda Ronstadt-Living with Parkinson's" but Parkinson's was certainly not the main topic of the night. The event started at 7:30 pm and lasted about an hour and a half.

Thank you so much for your input. Sounds like you had a blast. I love this series of engagements (having seen 3 of them - NYC, Wilmington and LI). You seem to learn a little something new about her each time. Thanks again!!! eddiejinfl

Linda is such a good person.. she talks the talk. I'm so proud of her helping those people. Love her.

In this case, according to the idiom that is often used in recovery/12 step meetings, Linda talks the talk and walks the walk. In general terms, meaning one does things consistent with how one talks. eddiejinfl

I was there. She was talking about going on You Tube all the time and she called herself a "You Tube Slut". She is very funny. She looked and sounded wonderful too. That is how I spend much of my online time as well. Don't watch tv but have a real addiction to youtube. Linda ought to check out other sites like LiveLeak or Vimeo too. To use that same old vernacular that would make me a You Tube Stud lol. Somehow the female gender got the short end of that stick but I guess that is what the 1960's was all about.
I remember in the 1990's how dead set Linda was against technology but I knew once she discovered the internet she would totally succumb. She has that very inquisitive mind and youtube especially satisfies almost every desire ones mind can throw at a person.
