The British actors circle has lost one of their own. Peter Vaughan, known to this current generation for his role in the HBO series Game Of Thrones, and, 45 years ago, for playing the town drunk Tom Hedden in director Sam Peckinpah's controversial and disturbing 1971 horror film STRAW DOGS, has passed away at the age of 93. But, among us of the older generation, still probably best known here in the UK for playing "Genial" Harry Grout in the 1970s sitcom "Porridge", despite only appearing in three episodes!
