Mine arrives today.
Glad to hear that Linda has a lead on one of the "vault" songs -- and that it's Sean-approved!

Am really enjoying the third disc, but can I be a crybaby and say how I wish Linda had the lead on "You Don't Knock"?
As much as I love Emmylou, she just doesn't knock this one out. The song needs some rock and swing which Linda could have provided in spades.
Still, glad to have it.

My Blue Tears sounds like an alternate mix from 1978. It's listed as unreleased from 1998. Even Cowgirls Get The Blues is an alternate take from 1978. It's not the same version that was on Emmylou's Blue Kentucky Girl. I really like this version, more Linda.

Yes My Blue Tears and Even Cowgirls are different - very pleased with this. And Even though Grey Funnel Line is a little distorted its great.

The packaging for the collection is really quite good too. A lot of time, thought and effort has gone into it for which I am very grateful.

Do you still hate the cover art?
I saw Johnny Carson describe the first Trio on his show as "not Country but Folksy." The needlepoint look is that "Folksy" touch.

The packaging for the vinyl has grown on me I must admit. It looks better in person so I'll take back my comments from before. The CD packaging is wonderful but you can tell that they are all well crafted items.
