Tilles Center for the Performing Arts « All Events A Conversation with Linda Ronstadt Ronstadt.PHOTO CREDIT TO ROCKY SCHENCK Linda Ronstadt is arguably the most versatile vocalist of the modern era, having forged a four-decade career which established her as one of the very important artists in one of the most creative periods in the history of modern music. She has broadened the latitudes of the pop singer, expanding the vocalist’s canvas to include country, rock and roll, big band, jazz, opera, Broadway standards, Mexican and Afro-Cuban influences, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of the ultimate song. With worldwide album sales of over 50 million, at least 31 gold and platinum records, 10 Grammy Awards, and membership in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to her credit, Linda is the consummate American artist. Now see the legend in conversation, which will be part interview, part presentation, as Linda recounts episodes from various times in her long career, as well as her thoughts on music and what it has meant in her life. Please note that Ms. Ronstadt will not be performing or singing.

Thank you for posting this. Am glad to see that Linda is still up for these engagements. The website says it is on Long Island in Brookville, New York, also Greenvale, New York. I assume with it saying LIU that Tilles Center is on the Long Island University campus.

I hope that there will be a video and/or an audio of this. But this is great news from a health perspective in that it means that Linda is still able to do something like this.

Wow. So glad to know that Linda is well enough to be out and about travelling across the country with her talk show and her charming heart and soul. Hope we see more dates added (AUSTIN!!!) please. Imagine she might be doing more than just this one gig. Also hope to see her speaking with Dolly and Emmylou in promo for the TRIO release. Don't they film those morning shows in New York City?

Just dropped in. Are there more speaking engagements scheduled? Will this site update since her FB is not really her?

Called the Tilles Box office 1-516-299-3100 ticketmaster 1-800-745-3000 I got 2 first row orchestra seats. He said there is plenty of leg room. Am sooo psyched. Especially since I can't make the PA show next March. Amazing the difference in the ticket prices if the ones quoted for the PA show are rt. like what $20-$40 range. eddiejinnj
