Well good for him.
I did not expect the big pic of Linda in the background!
Her version of the song is still safe, though.

Still, nice gesture from him and he clearly tries to make up for his past comments about her. Her version of his Allison is better than his version of "her" Willin' though.

I have a feeling his wife, Diana Krall, may have something to do with his change of heart about Linda.

Don't forget Elvis was in Tucson, you can't throw a rock there without hitting a Ronstadt! If he had dissed Linda there might have been a riot of Trumpian proportions. Seriously though as far as I know he and Linda got on good terms years ago. I do think, however, he showed a lot of class in honoring her as he did where he did.

Allison Porter winner of THE VOICE did great justice to Linda when her audition song was "BLUE BAYOU" !!! One of my Favorites!

I believe so. In addition, one of my favorites, Tift Merritt opened for him a few years back...

Almost every artist that comes to Lubbock, TX will attempt a Buddy Holly song, since he's from here. To date, the only band that has done justice to one of his songs was Pearl Jam in 2000. The rest were all half-assed hatchet jobs, though appreciated nonetheless... I'm a bit disappointed in Costello's cover of Willin'. But in spite of fumbling the lines and a few bad chords, it's admirable that he at least made the attempt.
And yes, Elvis and Emmy made an awesome CD together, my mother loved it as well.

Not horrible. Can't compare to Linda's....apples and oranges. If you compare it to Lowell Georgr, that's a little more fair as a comparison, and this version did not make me forget that Little Feat version. My favorite of this is when Linda and Lowel did a radio show....really authentic and entertaining.
