I was not able to post this yesterday but I hope those who celebrated yesterday including Linda had the joy, hope and peace of Christmas!!!!! Noticed this was the first year there was no posting on the day itself. God, how many years have I and the other regulars been on here? I know it has to be between 5 and 10. Happy New Year to all too!!!!!! eddiejinnj
PS: what am I saying. I remember talking about Hummin' and that was '04. So I have been on the forum over 10 yrs. Wow, as Linda and Rosemary sang "Time Flies."

I think it's because we've all been busy posting on other things, and the fact that it's been a politically insane year.
That said, I have felt in recent times that the last few days of the year, between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, is where time for me seems to slow down in anticipation of the new year. I really can't explain why I feel that way; I just do.

I spent a quiet Christmas day to myself. My family and I celebrated Christmas the night before, seeing as how everyone else had other commitments to other family members, and my girlfriend had the misfortune of having to work on Christmas day and we couldn't get together. Real Scrooges live! I posted occasionally on here and thought about those of us who have lost family members in the last year, including Linda. Two of my cousins died this year, one from a heart attack and the other from cancer. Both of their deaths are reminders I am in between the ages they were when they passed, and that I am at the age where it could happen to me. And so is Linda. Life is shorter than we imagine and that sucks!

You too buddy. I feel like this is my home away from home with familiar friends I always enjoy talking to and sharing with whether it be about our beloved Linda, differences in politics, problems or just fun stuff. I always learn something when I come here and it is also helpful to vent and sometimes respectfully disagree with some viewpoints.
Boy does it!!
