Not too sure that this is such a good idea for Netflix, though I could be wrong.

It will be interesting to see that although I'm not keen on remakes, especially of old tv series. Also, as bad as the original series was, I had and have a fondness for all of the actors of the original series, and I know the adult actors wanted the series to be better than what it was. I also remember that horrid movie remake, which was as bad as any tv episode but never as campy or as devoid of humor. I thought the idea of a family headed for another world to colonize had the potential to be a good science fiction series, but the writers got into writing the same kind of episode week after week, either a monster of the week or cartoonish machines with bad color schemes or both. It will be nice to see if Netflix can present LIS with good, solid quality science fiction episodes and stay away from the double or triple Z-grade episodes of the originals, especially those from the color era of the series. But, I've seen enough bad remakes to know the odds aren't favorable for something of quality.

Yes, not many people realize that Williams was scoring for film and television long before JAWS, or that he had indeed done work for Irwin Allen. In fact, it is his film scoring genius that was already there on Allen's two big 1970s disaster film epics: 1972's THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE, and 1974's THE TOWERING INFERNO.
