Odd comment coming from a member of her old band. I can't imagine he wasn't listening to her sing while he backed her up? Including her and Jackson doing a Rock Concert together with the Eagles.
"I only got to hear Ronstadt perform live twice, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a greater voice.
There hasn’t been a greater voice than her voice. And I’m so sorry that it’s silenced, but she’s still doing some speaking engagements at colleges."

The first was a question raised by the interviewer:
Interviewer (Calvin Gilbert): I only got to hear Ronstadt perform live twice, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard a greater voice.
Don Henley: There hasn’t been a greater voice than her voice. And I’m so sorry that it’s silenced, but she’s still doing some speaking engagements at colleges.

I'll have to get his album. I like the song with Dolly on the vid shown. Lots of good people appear on the record.

The first cut on the new album is Bramble Rose by an artist Erik and I have espoused for years, Tift Merritt. It is a nice cover, but a pale shadow of the original:

I think the basic problem I have with it is who he has helping him out with it. Mick Jagger is doing one of his patented faux-country accents (see "Wild Horses" and "The Girl With Faraway Eyes"), but I really have an issue with Miranda Lambert. She is the polar opposite of a Taylor Swift; her voice is so wiry with twang it actually causes my teeth to gnash together.

That doesn't really bother me. Many English rock artists from Mick to Amy Winehouse don't sing with a British accent. many including Tom Jones sound like southern baptist RnB singers. lol..
