Billboard has a link to the top twenty WORST album covers of the 1990's and Feels Like Home DIDN'T make it. Now that is a crime! Liked the album HATED the cover as much as I did Living in the USA

If it had been a more popular album with the public, it might have made the Top 20. It's the kind of album cover that might scare you away from buying the CD.

The album 'cover' for "Feels Like Home" wasn't the worst album 'cover' for a Linda Ronstadt album. The cover for "Frenesi" wasn't a good cover. Neither were the covers for "Winter Light" and "A Merry Little Christmas." And even the album 'cover' for "Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind" wasn't a particularly good album cover. The artwork for those albums looked as though they had been made on the cheap. All could've had better artwork.

I like the covers for Frenesi, Winter Light and CLAR.
MLC ..... not so much.
Feels Like Home, yeah is only OK. Never really liked Get Closer - I think the photo looks a bit weird, little like a painting - its been played with too much.

Get Closer won for best album pkg at the Grammys rt? The albums I thought that got nominated/won are Simple Dreams, Lush Life and Get Closer if I am not mistaken. eddiejinnj

If you take a close look at the GC cover on the vinyl version, you can clearly see that EVERYTHING except Linda's face & hair is illustrated/painted — the dress (even though that dress really existed and Linda wore it), the shoes, even her legs and arms!
FLH was a shite job, period. Sloppy typography, lousy photos, etc. (including the infamous spaniel puppy-cat). And I'll never forgive them for using a photo of a loaf of bread (no matter if Linda baked it) instead of a decent photo of Linda. How many times can you appreciate looking at a loaf of bread?
My problem with Frenesi is with Linda's expression in the cover shot — she looks rather bored, considering the title of the album and the sizzling music on it.
I always liked the WL cover. I find it very evocative of the song itself.
Lush Life was awesome.
Actually, the cover I hate most after FLH is What's New. Especially that stupid walkman, which dated the thing even faster than LITUSA's roller skates. That gorgeous inner sleeve photo would have been enough.

I like the cover to 'Feels Like Home'.
The only album covers I'm not thrilled with are 'Living In The USA,' 'Dedicated To The One I Love' and 'A Merry Little Christmas' (I think the picture of Linda on the inside would have been a better choice).
Album covers that I do particularly like are 'Hand Sown...Home Grown,' 'Simple Dreams,' 'We Ran' and 'Hummin' To Myself'.

I also like the FLH cover. It is very Americana and the album itself is one of her best. My only problem with it is why would they do a computer image of what Linda would have looked like at that young age holding a catdog when they already knew what she looked like from old photos? Why not use an old photo that was ACTUALLY HER? Just plop it on the little body holding Fluffido. Linda was an extremely beautiful child and that image does not do her justice.

I like the FLH cover, or at least, don't consider it any sort of "worst" cover.
I love the Get Closer cover. It's probably my favorite.

I have no complaints about FLH and love the cat, very homely.
LITUSA picture disc (& "Alison" single) is what should have been its cover, but it has my favourite gatefold (SD is 2nd).
Cry..Howl works with its splash page design, eye-catching when flipping through racks or browsing online, as was "Get Closer".
"Winter Light" & "A Merry Christmas" are title-themed & too bland generic. "We Ran" is..nothing, apart from Linda's eyes. I was glad to see "Hummin' to Myself" had a nice Linda photo again.
"Adieu False Heart" was just flat.
Apart from HTM, the best covers have been on Linda's compilations albums this century (from 1/1/2001). "Live in Hollywood" is dull, but "Very Best of..", "..The Collection", "Just One Look", "Duets" and various album collections all have Linda's photo prominently on them.
Winter Light was the last studio-produced album to have a LP release, for a LP cover it "shines" out much more in a store. (I never saw any Linda album LP after WL)
