The saga about putting an NFL franchise back into the City of Angels just got a thousand times nuttier: www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-nfl-stadium-20150220-story.html#page=1Of course, this could all be part of the leverage that we've been used as ever since we lost football at the end of 1994, but it's terribly fascinating to watch. Now if they would only just break ground.... By the way. the reason we haven't had the NFL in this part of the world is because the NFL insists that any stadium built require some public money--but we have basically said "Hell no!". But these are privately funded stadium deals; and given the long wait and the tendency the NFL has to want to make money, at some point, they are the ones that'll have to give. And as James Garner says in SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUNFIGHTER: " You gotta give till it hurts."
