As 1983 has been mentioned, I found this article on Linda performing in South Africa, and it has some slight information I was seeking. africasacountry.com/2020/01/linda-ronstadt-is-still-playing-sun-cityI wanted to get an idea of her audience demographic there... The article is critical of TSOMV for not including more on the issue, but ignores the movie is about Linda's music, as is her memoir. For whatever reason, I am glad Linda eventually agreed not to return and got her name struck off the UN list. Anyone telling Linda not to do/should not have done something was probably a red rag. However $500,000 for 6 concerts, at a time when Linda was switching musical tack, must have been appealing to her at a time when her future seemed less prosperous than in the 1970s. Are there any recordings, song lists etc of those 6 concerts?
