Anybody have or, know where, there may be a listing of Linda's concerts throughout her career. Saw her twice in the early 70's and then again once in late 70's. Has always been my favorite and trying to remember what venues I went to. Her voice is, as it was back then, strong with a dedicated simple dream.

If we had an absolute complete listing of every show Linda ever did, believe you me, we'd post the whole thing here without hesitation. But I do think most everyone here can name the ones they themselves have been to.

Oh my, that's a tall order! Your best bet would be to contact Peter Asher and John Boylan. You would do better to compile a list of tours rather than individual concerts. That could prove to be time-consuming and futile. I'm a huge Linda fan but even I'm not willing to go that far!

On the old forum there was a thread dedicated to all of her concert dates. I think Ronstadtfanaz kept track.

Truth be told, even as Linda has said a number of times that 99% of her singing was done in private, and the other 1% done onstage, the number of concerts she put on from her first performances with the Stone Poneys in 1966 to the final official one in San Antonio in 2009 probably numbers somewhere in the 2000-3000 range, if not more so (IMHO). And this, of course, doesn't count the number of times she performed in and around her hometown as a "young'un."

A lot of work has already been done.
1 - Is it possible to access the old forum thread dedicated to all of her concert dates?
2 - Could one of the administrators copy that data to a similar thread accessible to this forum?

Found the same site as Mick Jagger...concert listings, probably not all, from 1969. Found the dates and places I was looking for. Just received book. Anyone read?

I lost the old link when I did an update. All or most of the concert dates were there

Linda and Mick Jagger performing Tumbling Dice received worldwide publicity - lots of magazine covers and images.
It was unique in that the Greatest Rock 'n'Roll Band and the Queen of Rock came together together in Linda's hometown, Tucson, in July 1978. What a great treat for all present that night.
I believe an audio copy of the performance exists.

Actually, I think the 2000-3000 range could be a rather high number, as I don't think Linda toured that much, certainly not every year for the 40 years or so that she was an active performer. I think the number of tours she did were higher in the mid to late 70s to early 80s, but I don't think the tour dates from the other times was ever a large number.

I remember that now too. There were even some personal notations in the thread by people who attended individual concerts, plus copies of tickets, posters for concerts and other fun stuff. Does the old forum still exist?

No, unfortunately.
The old forum was hacked into (again) and had so much malicious code that I could not clean it up. The hosting company took down the entire Linda Ronstadt Homepage until I could fix the problem. I could not fix the problem so I had no choice but to delete the old forum so that the website would be restored.

hey tony da man!!!! went to the homepage for the first time in awhile and I like your visitor counter. pretty cool. as far as the stones and tumbling dice. I am not sure why mick can't sing that song without making the lyrics distinct at all. the recorded version by them I think is not good. it sounds tinny, the lyrics are garbled, etc. maybe for some reason that is the style they deliberately chose for this song. anybody else notice this. you can hear linda at times in the live version but imo there was so much going on onstage that she probably had a hard time figuring out her part. eddiejinnj

as far as the 83 summer tour. would love to have a tour book. I went to the 7/17 show in Saratoga. the 4th of july thing with willie must have been in 82 then right? so she did giants stadium alone on july 3rd 83? I don't recall that. is this correct? I have seen that she was at willie's 4th of july bash at the stadium. was it 82 or 83 and was it exactly on the 4th. I thought so. unless it was a 2 day event. eddiejinnj

Eddie--I was at the Willie Nelson picnic in 1983 at Giants Stadium also. Linda wore that adorable pink checked dress with the poodles on it. I have a beautiful photo of her from before the concert hanging in my room. Great memories!! The tour book from 1983 is a nice souvenir and it even has the different hotels that they stayed at during the tour.

I know this is an old topic, but I tried using internet archive and got as far as the forum topic about the past concerts but they don't have the actual topics archived. I was on that old forum at the time and I wish I had saved the info as there was quite a list going.
I am working on something at the moment which is rough but using several different sources I have been able to obtain a fair few dates. I can post some soon if people are still interested and then we can just do the same as before and make it a working list. May not be totally comprehensive but would be far more than we have now.

THIS, would be interesting to see. I recall as I went through all of the Chartstadts, thinking each period would be complete if they included her live performances for that period.

Reinstalling the old forum or moving the Concerts and Performances category here is something only Tony can do. It is one of those things that is an ongoing process which would be nice to have on this forum so we could add to it (and give us something to do). Seems like the more traffic we get here the more stuff from here shows up in the search engines. Visitorship is way up in the past few years from what I remember it to be. Most likely because Linda is finally "feeling the love" she so rightly deserves. Amen.

Lol. Sorry “Mick” you did see her in concert performing live. She tells the story that you went backstage after one of her shows and told her to sing more uptempo rock and she told you to sing more ballads.
