Again, I have to say it's one of those things I wish Linda would reconsider her stand on. There's modesty, and then there's extreme self-deprecation; and sometimes I think with Linda it's the latter--and unnecessarily so (IMHO). With Linda's intense dislike of her recordings of the 60s and 70s, I'd guess she feels the same way about any of her concerts from the same period of time. She'd probably favor something from her standards or Mexican period although most fans likely would want the earlier era. I doubt she would repent, but who knows?

The 1970s LP album NAPA presents A Concert Behind Prison Walls A FLOWER OUT OF PLACE Video (Released 1974) With Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Roy Clark, Glen Sherley, Foster Brooks. This 1974 television special is not so much a follow-up to Johnny Cash's now legendary Folsom State Prison performance as it is the culmination of one man's dream. That Man, Glen Sherley, was an inmate when Johnny preformed at Folsom. Australian video: US video Another version:

But we already have official live concerts from her standards and Mexican periods, albeit DVD in in the instance of Canciones and VHS (but where's the dang DVD?) in the case of Riddle. There is enough quality live recordings of her concert appearances to put together a killer compilation, it doesn't have to be a single concert.

I believe that concert was simulcast live to FM stations which were a fairly new entity at the time. Simulcast in quadrophonic so there should be some great recordings out there somewhere of this concert.

I watched 3 of the songs linda sang. I wondered if it was a good song choice to sing: You're no good to prisoners! Then I happened to find a review of the album on allmusic.com, and the reviewer said this: "including Linda Ronstadt (who sounds fine, though one wonders if this was the best audience for either "You're No Good" or "Desperado")". During or at the conclusion of you're no good, she did make a gesture with her mouth that appears she may be thinking that.

Good thing that "Prisoner in Disguise" wasn't out yet.

I don't think the boys were paying attention to the songs none-the-less the lyrics.
