I really need something / someone new to really get into .... but finding it difficult to form an attachment. The only "new" artist I've gotten on board with in the last few years is Orville Peck.

Quote by Dianna re. Kacey Musgraves:
You have to wonder if maybe Kacey is too good for the genre she chose to immerse herself in....or might it be they have "something else" against her?
Anyway, here is my main listening fare for today--the terrifying 23 1/2-minute long opening movement of the Resurrection Symphony (#2) of Gustav Mahler, with Michael Tilson Thomas conducting the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra:

I think Ms. Musgraves is very talented and it's their loss if they have something against her.. The obnoxious guy in the video reminds me of a certain famous son we all know. lol

Like Musgraves but not the song. Vocals are so processed it sounds like something on top 40 radio today. The production is tired and lame in my opinion, I can’t stand processed vocals like this. Barbie Doll vocals are everywhere these days.
Sorry, this comes a few hours later and I see I sounded hostile and negative. I never heard or seen this before. What I’ve heard of Musgraves was not this.

What I’ve heard of Musgraves was not this. That's interesting because the song to me, does not come off as sounding contemporary.. IMO.. it reminds me of disco music from the 70's.. even a little bit of Nicolette Larsons' lotta love.. I read somewhere that her album, Golden Hour, was a tribute album to different artists, which consists of different styles, from country, country pop, disco and forget what other genre.. Also I think I read somewhere that this song, High Horse, was a tribute to the Bee Gees.. Honestly, IMO it does not sound anything like what's current.. today's dance or top 40 music seems to be very techno driven- alien futuristic with auto tune lol .. but then again, I don't listen to a lot of the modern music.. I found High Horse to be a little nostalgic and refreshing.

Cazimi is the first album in nine years for Nashville-based/Dallas-born singer/songwriter (and significant Linda Ronstadt fan) Caitlin Rose, and is a quirky mixture of East Nashville alt-country, power pop, and West Coast country-rock. This album includes songs like "Gemini Moon", and "Getting It Right", this last one a duet of sorts with another favorite, Courtney Marie Andrews.

"There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to Man. It is a dimension as vast as space, and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition; and it lies between the pit of Man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone."--Rod Serling.
A little tribute of sorts to what is arguably the greatest single program ever put on television--namely The Twilight Zone, which actually only ran on network TV (CBS) from 1959 to 1964 (but has been running in syndication ever since), with three tracks from the soundtrack of the 1983 film TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE:
END CREDITS MUSIC FROM "TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE"--Jerry Goldsmith NIGHTS ARE FOREVER--Jennifer Warnes ANESTHESIA--213 featuring Joseph Williams

A touch of Mexico, from the beginning of the 2010-2011 Walt Disney Concert Hall season of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Gustavo Dudamel conducts this performance of "Danzon No. 2" by the Mexican composer Arturo Marquez:
Fifty years ago this week, at the end of March 1973, Brazilian-born jazz-rock keyboardist Eumir Deodato hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 with a dramatic recording of the "Sunrise" opening of the 1896 tone poem "Also Sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss. The work had been popularized in its original classical form five years earlier in 1968, when legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick used it as the musical calling card for his epic sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey:
