Awesome! I saw her at the 92nd St. W and thought she was terrific. Wish the book was more revealing about her personal life and her feelings about her time as queen of rock in the 70`s, when we all fell in love with her. Linda seems so dismissive of that era and her importance in rock history. Whatever, I love the lady!!!

According to the NYT Nonfiction Hardcover Bestsellers List dated October 6, Simple Dreams is (still?) at #9 with a bullet.

The no. 9 on the combined hardcover and e-book non-fiction will appear in this weekends print edition of the NYTIMES book review. There is a nice blurb as well. It is a week behind. Next weeks listing should come out on line by tmrw. It is a very good showing for our very elusive gal. They haven't done a formal review. Linda seems to have relationships with a number of editors, journalists and all around smart people at the Times so hopefully they will "get" the very beautiful but most unusual voice of Linda on the page.

The print editions have Linda at #9 as stated above. Next week she remains at #9 on hardcover nonfiction. On the combined ebooks and harcover she will be at 21. Damn good showing. I suspect she will do some more promo (maybe some late night etc.) after she takes a rest. Just read Billy Crystal's and it is pretty predictable, a bit funny but the same old shtick.

I was hoping it would have been at least in the top 5 by now as well Oh well, aside from what the critics say, I love the book, and Linda did a wonderful job in giving us a behind the scenes look at her musical journey.

No matter how it moves up and down-Linda is now a New York Times best selling author. That is pretty cool!
