Linda's albums are all over Amazon's bestsellers (most updated hourly).
Greatest Hits Vol 1/2, Simple Dreams, Hasten Down the Wind, What's New, even Don't Cry Now (at #81) are all in the Top 100 bestselling albums. Various albums are placing in top 100 -- in some cases top 10 -- in various categories (country, country rock, oldies, vocals, etc.).
Did we ever think we'd see the day when this would happen?

Quote by Richard W:
At some point, we must have seen it coming, given the release of her memoir. But it's still a shame that this good thing has happened because she can't sing anymore.
I probably sound ungrateful, but that's not really true. I am guilty of being cynical, though.

I love it!! My hope is that during the next several months.. she gets a little recognition from the big music award shows coming up 2013-2014. I think Lifetime Achievement is in order for grammy awards and I'd also like to see some respect at the CMA's this november.. afterall.. She did pave the way for so many...

I did, but after Linda was dead. I have always expected she would become more popular once she was gone and in a sense her voice is gone, but she isn't. I also expect Frenesi to become her biggest seller (in whatever form) as the demographics of the USA change towards a more latin population in the next few decades. A few songs from Frenesi in some high profile popular movies will make that album explode. It is just too good to be held down. They may have to start reissuing or re-boxing some stuff. I am really curious what format music will take in the 30's and 40's.

Well, Frenesi is in the top 10 in the latin music subcategory of "ranchera" music, although it's not at all ranchera, but tropical Latin (but there's no separate chart for that). Still, it's on some list!
Also, Mas Canciones (not Canciones de Mi Padre) is #18 in the overall Latin charts.
What's gratifying is that on some charts she has 4 or 5 albums in the top 10.
Although I must add the footnote that none of the sales has evidently translated to iTunes; none of her albums are in the top 200. The difference being, I suppose, that Amazon's sales are largely CDs while iTunes deals with downloads.

It is good news! I hope she at least gets some money out of this new found popularity. I am not sure how that works. I wonder if she can own "her" recording of a song even while a songwriter gets his share from her version? (Where is Harold when we need him?)

I was wondering the same thing about money/sales.
The way I understand it -- in the most broad and general terms -- is that the artist makes money on the album sales, while the songwriters make it on radio/performance.

Looking at Amazon recently it appears that much of her catalog is out of print. All the 90s albums are and even Hummin' to Myself (from 2004) is out of print. I'm thinking her catalog is going to be quite a collector's dream with used copies going for high prices.

If many of Linda's albums were on the Billboard or Cashbox charts, that would be more of a reason to celebrate than being on amazon's Top 100. I'm a regular amazon customer but I don't recall them posting how many units of a book/dvd/cd sold to earn whatever chart position they have. I'd like to think it would be something like 100,000 copies sold, but without sales figures as documentation for why a product charted where it did, we have no way of knowing whether it was for sales of 100 copies (or less) or 100,000 copies or more. Billboard, as faulty as their system is, at least gives you some numbers - though their system is faulty because they don't take into account all stores or sales avenues.
