see to me the 90's were about her doing what she wanted to contribute to her legacy. she won a lot of Grammys in the 90's. she did get some radio airplay and did work with aaron Neville on his albums (some classic duets). she contributed to duets 2 for Sinatra. she did a dream is a wish your heart makes. she did dreams to dream which was a modest hit though many agree and say on youtube it should have been a bigger hit. she did the water is wide. she did important projects in the 90's. I think it was a very productive and rewarding decade for her. eddiejinnj

This is true, as far as it goes. When it comes to the public in general, however, they either barely remember (or have completely forgotten) that she did all that.

Bonnie Raitt ruled the 90's and Ronstadt ruled the 70's

Linda definitely DID NOT sing Long, Long Time at her May 13, 1995 Radio City show. She sounded incredible but she did not sing that song. I have read somewhere (on here, I believe) that she sang it a few nights later in Philadelphia, however. I believe she sang 2 encores at Radio City that night and her last song was Heart Like A Wheel.

I would not say Raitt ruled the 90's. comparing linda and her yes as far as airplay and record sales for that decade. but when it comes down to it bonnie had what like 3 maybe 4 albums that did very well her whole career. she was due the recognition finally for some of her recordings. linda was always pushing for her and was very supportive of bonnie's career. eddiejinnj

I first started seeing her here in L.A. during the '70s during her sold-out runs at the then-Universal Amphitheatre (now Gibson, soon to be demolished). She sang "Long Long Time" several times during her concerts that I saw here in L.A. I remember even hearing her sing "Different Drum." By the time she got to "Mad Love," as is evidenced by the HBO special that one can find here and there for sale on DVD, she had such an incredible catalog that no matter what she sang someone was not going to be happy that she didn't sing ____________. I think there were people who went to see Linda Ronstadt with Nelson Riddle and his Orchestra, and she would even sing "Desperado" as a nod to her popular music career, and people would still bitch that she had not sung "You're No Good" or "Heatwave" or... or ... or .... She couldn't sing everything. Sometimes artists take out songs that they do not feel connected to emotionally anymore. Who knows?
