I really love Linda's contribution to this show, in particular "Keep Me From Blowing Away" - does anyone know if there is any video footage from this concert?

I absolutely love this live version of "Keep Me from Blowing Away." Linda's voice cuts right through me on this. Anyone who doubts her interpretive skills should be required to listen to this. Simply devastating.
As to your question, no, I have never heard of or seen video of this concert. A shame.

Linda - being older and wiser than when she recorded it for "Heart Like a Wheel," gives it a more resigned, world-weary interpretation. Her voice soars on it. The other track from this that is on Linda's boxed set is "The Sweetest Gift." I love that moment in the patter when Emmylou says something like "We did it. We stole it." And just as the song starts, one of the members of The Seldom Scene says matter-of-factly, "You recorded it" (or at least that's what I make it out to be) and you hear Linda let out a good genuine hearty laugh.

Rick, I believe the comment that produces the hearty laugh from Linda is "You can afford it." Richwar, your comment, as usual, is right on. This song alone is worth the price of the box set.

Thank you. I was trying to remember it without listening to it. I just remembered Linda's laugh but couldn't quite recall what sparked it. Thanks. Just went to The Seldom Scene's website. Looks like November marked the 40th anniversary of The Seldom Scene, and there were hopes for a recording and a DVD, but that did not happen. John Starling, a frequent collaborator of Emmylou's, was with The Seldom Scene. Here is a a video on the site -- www.seldomscene.com/fr_home.cfm
