You know, of course, that it is not a matter of merely arresting him. Knowing what he is capable of (and what he might still do), if and when they find him, they'll probably kill him, not arrest him.

You are right. At this point he probably would not want to be captured alive either.

They had something on the news where he set up a fb page.. lots of photos of happy times in law enforcement.. there was also a creepy photo of tombstone with his last name on it. I thinky you're right it's gonna get really ugly.. very upsetting. From what I understand he has threatened officers and their families.. I'd hate to be a cop right now. And.. not sure what happened during his dismissal.. but he looked like a very happy person.. not creepy at all.. this is a vendetta.

From what I've read on the Internet, he apparently had reported his training officer, a woman, for severely beating a schizophrenic individual with dementia during the course of an arrest. The victim's father gave testimony confirming what had happened during the departmental trial, but Dorner was fired for supposedly filing a false report. He believes he was terminated because he broke what is known as "the thin blue line", where cops don't rat on their fellow officers' wrongdoing.
If this is the case, then we've got more than just a vengeful ex-cop out there; we have someone who has literally gone insane, and a survivalist to boot. He's not afraid of dying, and he's definitely not afraid of doing some more killing in the meantime.
This afternoon, they found the burned-out remains of his truck on a dirt road near the Bear Mountain Ski Resort, just outside of Big Bear, 80 miles east of Los Angeles. There's a huge police presence up there, and they will be hard-pressed to find him. Not only is it going to get dark soon, but within the next 12-18 hours, it's likely to snow like crazy up there.

even if what did happen , it does suck.. I would be beyond furious I were in his shoes.. but 2 wrongs do not make a right. I just hope nobody else has to die and yes, I believe that shit goes on at the PD.. I've seen it before.

To me, it's gone well beyond an issue of whether becoming a killer of your fellow law enforcement brothers as a form of revenge is either right or wrong. It has now become a stark reminder of the kind of monsters that lurk deep inside of all of us, the fact that we are as capable of severe cruelty as we are of overwhelming greatness. And as with so many things in life, this isn't a comic-book saga of good and evil, black and white, or right and wrong. This is a nightmare of ambiguity that we must all contemplate.

To the point of actually committing a planned out murder.. That isn't necessarily true for everyone. Many of us have been to that point or worse .. some have been sexually abused as children and I am sure have planned out the same scenario of revenge in their own minds but would not follow through or could not. I understand this man's anger but he clearly is not all there and he obviously needed help. And just the other day. when that road flagger REFUSED to let me pass when I pleaded with her my dog was bleeding out (I thought she was gonna die) You don't think I wanted to run the bitch over.. I thought about it.. my revenge was on the way back home while passing her I looked her in the eye and flipped her off and that was good enough for me.

It is difficult to be a whistleblower these days at all the Federal, State and Local levels. Whistleblowers have suffered as much or more under Obama than anyone else.

His claims do not surprise me. I've heard stories from within how they treat and ridicule detainees or individuals in custody.. some even joke about it. apparantly we didn't learn from rodney king.. Tragic he had to take such measures to prove a point..

Quote by dianna:
There are just certain people who are drawn to becoming cops because of the perceived authority and power that they have over others. But as we unfortunately have a tough time of leaning, power tends to corrupt, and absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely.

Which is why I try to steer clear of the law. lol. most people do and as we talked about how many have gone to the dark side in their mind then actually act out.. but knowing the severe consequences most of us like our freedom too much.
