I think one of the problems that Mr. Wagoner misses with respect to radio's survival, as it were, is not that the stations don't play enough "new" music--it's that they don't play a big enough variety of either new music or new artists, they so often limit themselves to the clickbait, attention-getting types like Taylor, Beyoncé, Rihanna, etc. And it's the near non-stop repetition of artists and certain songs (e.g. "Don't Stop Believin'", etc.) that p***es me off more than anything else. In my honest opinion, radio is boring because the formats aren't nearly as diverse as they used to be in the 1970's.
