We've only gotten two days into 2023, and yet another pop music figure has transited to the other world. This time, it is Fred White, the drummer for the legendary R&B group Earth, Wind, and Fire, who passed away today at the age of 67:

Did Fred White play on Linda’s 1974 release ♥️ like a Wheel? Just read an obituary for Fred White on Deadline and it said that he did. I just checked personal on Wikipedia and he is not listed. I will go pull the album out. I don’t remember seeing him listed on the album.

I'd never heard that before but yes, he played on an early version of "You're No Good":
