Jody had pipes. “Queen of the House”—one of the best-ever Scopitones—“The Iceman Cometh.” The Supremes’ version on their “Live at the Copa” album is vastly inferior.

Another sizeable loss for the country music world, as it's still reeling from Loretta Lynn's passing.
It might be mentioned, since the Deadline article doesn't, that Jody recorded her version of "Silver Threads And Golden Needles" in 1965, four years before we got to hear Linda's initial go-around with it.

Jody has some good songs on her epic records albums. I like her version of: A woman left lonely". I think she covered "Long Long Time" also.
