Not sure I’d call the 1978 suit photo an outtake-wasn’t it an official Asylum promo/press photo?

The cover of Vivian Claire's 1978 bio on Linda, with the picture of her singing the National Anthem at Game 3 of the 1977 World Series at Dodger Stadium; this is in honor of the late, great broadcasting legend Vin Scully:

Linda can pretty much sing anything with her enormous range, so I don't think the actual singing was the most intimidating part about performing at Dodger Stadium. Here's a comment from Richard Harrington in Washington Post from 1988. It's very complimentary, although she wasn't wearing shorts (LOL).
The best modern music I like is by Linda Ronstadt. She once sang 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at Dodger Stadium before a game, wearing shorts and a Dodgers jacket. That's my kind of singer."

No, I wish I could have gone but I was 15. When I was 17 in '80 that is when we drove up to Rutgers to see her "Mad Love" tour. I see by the setlist, that she did Orbison's "Crying". I went to play it but it goes to Amazon music which I am not a member/customer. Would love to hear her do that song. thanks for posting it, Pop!! eddiejinnj

I need more proof that she sang “Crying.” I’ve never read/heard anything about that and Setlist has gotten it wrong before.

Quote by RobGNYC:
They probably have gotten it wrong--and I say this because I don't know how one can confuse "Crying" with "Blue Bayou", just because Roy Orbison was the one who wrote and recorded both first.

Thanks, madlove. I thought so. I tried to access it a few times and one time somehow I got the recorded verion of the song, "Cry Like a Rainstorm".
Thanks all for your help. eddiejinnj
Oh, was going to add that in Erik's last post of pics the 1995 one was the photo outside RCMH in NYC for the "Feels Like Home" tour.

That isn’t Linda singing at Hail,Hail,Rock& Roll where she wore a dress with what looks like a black silk jacket, I think it’s her singing at Welcome Home Benefit Washington D.C. 1987 where she sang Somewhere Out There with James Ingram where she was wearing this same outfit with the trousers.I just checked it out on YouTube to be sure.

For some reason (I think it's the hairstyle) I don't like the photo session above as much as others. One of which became the cover of "The Best of the Capitol Years" album. eddiejinnj
