I was wondering what song by Linda was most viewed on youtube. Without looking, take a guess. It's a song I never liked much and always felt she recorded it in the wrong key!!! But maybe it's just a hard song to sing for any singer. I'll reveal it after a few replies.

My favourite BB is Linda's Atlanta performance. The Bayou-oo-oh-oo yodel at the end is what makes it extra special, Linda kept it. That was a raw emotional performance, genuine emotion, raw, Linda at her greatest! ♡♡♡

I like Linda's concert in Germany as well, which was a year earlier. Germany was HDTW, Atlanta SD. So sweet Linda with the flower in her hair style ♡♡♡

I was going to say DKM. I was trying to figure out what song he says "might be" in wrong key in his opinion and that it must be a difficult song. I was torn between the two. eddiejinnj

Bingo! It's Blue Bayou. Some of my favorite Linda Songs have well under 100 thousand views. I looked up some hits by Whitney Houston. I will always love you-over 1 Billion views!!! Some of Whitneys other hits are 200 plus million views. I guess Linda isn't as popular with african americans. They usually listen to R&B.

Quote by Mr. Kaplansky re. "wrong key" for "Blue Bayou":
I guess I'd respectfully dissent here about "Blue Bayou" being in the wrong key the way Linda sings it (it is in B Major, for anyone who keeps track of these things); for her, at least at that time, it just seemed right. And while I can't articulate exactly why I think it, it does seem to me that a fair amount of Spanish-language pop songs, especially with a Mexican flavoring, seem to be in this key.
Quote by heartbreaker re. African-American reactions to Linda videos:
I have to wonder at times just how sincere and genuine those reactions are, considering how many of them have been proliferating over there on YouTube.

I think its generational surprise that their grandparent's generation could do music, & better.

It is a very broad generalization to say that African Americans "usually listen to R&B." On what are you basing that statement? Whitney Houston is not a good gauge. She had and has a gigantic fan base of all races. It could even be argued that her fan base has been mostly non-African American--she was booed at the 1988 Soul Train Awards. www.theguardian.com/music/2018/jul/07/not-black-enough-the-identity-crisis-that-haunted-whitney-houston

Many of Linda's songs were first sung by black singers. "You're No Good" by Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne's sister), for example.
Just One Look Dark End of The Street Tracks of My Tears Ooh Baby Baby Back in the USA Walk Away Renee Its in His Kiss
many more...

The Four Tops covered it later.
