I saw this too. He was extremely important (indeed, every recording engineer is, when you get down to it) for a lot of people, including for Linda.

So, according to this obituary, Al Schmitt worked on "Duets" and "Duets II" by Frank Sinatra, which means that Mr. Schmitt worked on "Moonlight in Vermont," Sinatra's duet with Linda. From The New York Times -- Al Schmitt, Maestro of Recorded Sound, Is Dead at 91 / The winner of multiple Grammys, he engineered or produced records by Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Jefferson Airplane and many others.
