R.I.P.: Monte Hellman (TWO LANE BLACKTOP)

Another loss for Hollywood. Cult film director Monte Hellman, who started in the late 1950's for Roger Corman, and then went on to do, among other films, the 1971 cult classic TWO LANE BLACKTOP (with James Taylor and Warren Oates), has passed away at the age of 91 after suffering a fall at his home in Palm Springs:
