On Knight Rider it says Linda chat I and II as far as scene description. Was Linda on the show (I think we all would have discussed it before) or were the characters discussing Linda? I watched the show sometimes but I was busy in school, etc. eddiejinnj

Coincidental that William Daniels was in the Galactica show and then also in Knight Rider as the voice of the car. eddiejinnj

Sorry if this has been posted in this thread or elsewhere but I just remembered that Linda's version of "I've Got a Crush on You" was the "love theme" used on "One Life to Live" for Viki (Erika Slezak) and Ben Davidson (Mark Derwin). They met at a bar called Crossroads and in this clip, Ben plays the song for the first time --
At about 3 minutes and 37 seconds in --
And it would be used during their relationship quite a few times while Derwin's character of Ben was still on "One Life to Live."

Opening to new Hacks show on HBO Max, season 2 episode 2 has the Jean Smart character singing along to You're No Good gboiler1, here is a mention of the HBO series "Hacks" using Linda's version of "You're No Good" in an episode -- Music used in the series 'Hacks' <snip> Another tune that (music supervisor Matt) Biffa particularly loved this season was the use of Linda Ronstadt’s “You’re No Good,” which was used to convey uncertainty in Ava and Deborah’s working relationship. It plays at a point “where Ava really doesn’t know if Deborah knows about the email or not. And it’s just like that delicious kind of torture that she’s going through.”

Breaking Down Every Major Song We Heard In Minions: The Rise Of Gru Read More: www.slashfilm.com/913386/every-song-we-heard-in-minions-the-rise-of-gru/?utm_campaign=clip <snip> You're No Good by Linda Ronstadt Kyle Balda's "Minions: The Rise of Gru" is set largely in San Francisco in 1976, when the titular Gru was a mere 11 ¾ years old. Several scenes of the film's action take place inside of — or in a mysterious chamber below — a music store called Criminal Records. Gru, to remind readers, aspires to be one of the world's most notorious supervillains, and the titular Minions aspire only to aid him in his endeavors.
In the film, the young Gru (played by Steve Carell with his voice artificially pitched up) receives an invitation to fill in an empty spot on The Vicious Six, a famed supervillain team that was recently reduced to five. In order to enter the evil team's enclave, Gru must give a password to a record store clerk and be shown into an empty listening booth where he is meant to play Linda Ronstadt's "You're No Good" from her 1974 record "Heart Like a Wheel." The record, when run backwards, opens a trap door in the floor.
"You're No Good" was written Clint Ballard, Jr. in 1963, was originally performed by Dee Dee Warrick, and was covered — to great chart success — by Betty Everett that same year, and by The Swinging Blue Jeans the following year. Ronstadt's version was the most popular version, hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Minions" only cares to play with the song's title; Gru and his villainous compatriots only aim to be "no good," and the lyrics to the song (it's a breakup song about leaving behind a no-good lover) are ignored in favor of its title. Fitting, as the entirety of the song is not used. <snip>

Not sure if this was posted.. I checked and couldn't find if this is a duplicate please remove.. I am watching the HULU series Pam (Anderson) and Tommy (Lee) and on this episode there is a flashback to 1989 and Anderson is still an unknown living in Canada.. She's working at a diner and Different Drum by Linda & The Stone Poneys begins playing and it continues to the next scene at her apartment as she paints her nails.. phone rings she doesn't hear because Different Drum is playing loudly then boyfriend yells at her to answer the phone where she then turns off the radio.

Hi, Dianna --
It's interesting that it was the year 1989 and they chose "Different Drum" as opposed to something that was more current for Linda.

Hi Rick, Whoever was in charge of the music on this series did a great job.. it takes place mainly in the early 90's and yes, there are lots of songs played from that era.. and from the 60's and 70's too. The different drum scene the actress playing the young up and coming Anderson is offered her first big gig at Playboy.. and the guy playing her boyfriend wasn't having it..having a jealous fit Pam walks out.. so the song kind of fits the scenario.. Also during the song as Anderson paints her nails she's moving along to the song so it's not just playing in the background but loudly and she's responding to it. Another song I heard in the next episode was by Janis Joplin.. so the series has a wide range of music. Really Good. I recommend it.
