Me 2. I am grieving her not being able to sing. Can't go any further in my mind re: above subject. Certain songs are getting harder to listen to without becoming a mess. "Goodbye My Friend" has been one for years as it came out the same year my maternal grandma passed (album came out a few months after her passing) and she was my best friend. Added to that lately and this is not inclusive are "All I Know" and "Tell Him I Said Hello". eddiejinnj I know several people, men and women whom Linda has turned into slobbering fools and the funny thing is she has said she never cries and it would take an act of Congress to do so. I wonder if she has gotten any more emotional as she has grown older? My best friend commented to me how she broke down when she first heard Linda sing the falsetto at the beginning of Don't Know Much after it was released as a single. She just discovered that she had breast cancer and was already a bundle of emotions. Four kids and a loving husband. Those are the kinds of moments we remember. I cannot listen to Goodbye My Friend either. It is one of the favorite dead animal tribute songs on youtube. I go through animal loss a couple of times a month. Many are old friends or abandoned souls just thrown away and you frantically try to help and save them to no avail and then the time comes to go to the vet and say goodbye while holding them until their last breath. Oh so depressing. In reality we should be celebrating their lives and the joy we shared even if briefly. Some of us truly believe we go to sleep here and wake up into the real world no longer hindered by our ailing, broken bodies. So that is something to look forward to but hard to keep in mind while grieving.

Thanks for posting that lovely article, Erik. Nice personal anecdotes about his life and passions. Amazing to have both the curious mind of an inventor, as well as being such an accomplished musician (combination of both sides of the family).

Next to his famous sister Michael has been in the public eye the most yet I don't think most of us knew a heck of a lot about him until Daniel Buckley who always does a marvelous job reporting on the Ronstadt's.

[/p] [/quote] When I squint my eyes a bit, the beautiful woman dancer (don't know her name) resembles a younger Linda (70's era) I've always thought she made a good choice with the dancers, especially in this part of the show where you can hear Linda singing and not see her.. and because of the resemblance (IMO) she's there .. dancing.. maybe that was her intention. and I'm just now getting it. lol

That was unexpected. Sending best wishes to Linda and her family. I wonder what she thinks when she looks back on her life and the friends/peers she has lost along the way. That is none of my business of course but I wonder. Has there been any interview with Linda about losing her older sister Suzy www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/tucson/name/gretchen-o-brien-obituary?id=17798370www.findagrave.com/memorial/188843882/gretchen-o'brien Suzy outlived her husband, and lost a couple of children, but her and the children's deaths have not had the causes made public AFAIK (some sites are locked to EU visitors). This is the only grave of a son of Suzy, & one of Linda's nephews, no doubt named after their father. All the family & relatives dying must have weighed heavily on Linda and affected her wellbeing I imagine.

Linda is a strong soul and very wise. I have a feeling Linda has handled all her loss well.

I'd love a sit and chat , too!!! It probably is easier if she talks casually versus more formalized settings where she needs to talk more. eddiejinnj
