Hi, I was at the concert in Mobile, AL when Linda opened for Neil Young. I wasn't crazy about waiting for Neil, but her voice was amazing. She reminded me of Patsy Cline. I felt so bad when she left the stage crying. When Neil came onstage he was so angry. He stopped a few bars into his first song and yelled, "I can't play with all this fu*****g racket going on." You could hear a pin drop for the next 30 min or so. He finally calmed down, but I was so impressed by the whole thing, I remember it still. She had an amazing talent.

Not a good lineup for Linda's sake. Maybe she should have been first. At least she could have gotten out of there early, lol!!! eddiejinfl

All three artists are superb, but Linda was definitely the odd act out in that lineup. Who knows, though: maybe she gained a few new fans from among those in the head-banging crowd!

Quote by eddiejinnj:
It happened quite a lot to Linda during these first four or five years of her career--getting paired with hard-edged rock acts like Montrose and Humble Pie, while having nothing in common with them in terms of musical style. It was, truth be told, only marginally better than when she opened (no pun intended) for The Doors in 1968.

I have seen that, too, Erik, re Linda's schedule. This last example most notable struck me as they put Linda in the middle of the 2 other acts. eddiejinfl
