With Demi Lovato as Carly Simon and that girl who "sings" that annoying Friday song on YouTube as Carole King!

Oh well, we know that TS is a better actress than singer. And even though she'll probably do the singing as well, it'll likely go thru the "tweaking" process. And Jessica Lange was Patsy Cline and Sissy Spacek was Loretta Lynn in hit movies, so there are precedents for using, ahem..."non singers" lol.
It also could be a good way for TS to segue into an alternate career just in case her adoring fanbase ever matures and she runs out of boyfriends to write about! She was being groomed to be an actress before she decided to be a musical superstar after all.

The Variety article did say that the producers were considering the actress Allison Pill to play Carole King. I have seen her on the stage in New York and she also appeared in the HBO series "In Treatment" and was in Woody Allen's film "Midnight in Paris." Like Jessica Lange lip-synching Patsy Cline in "Sweet Dreams," they could have Allison Pill lip-synching Carole King.
