Only superficially, of course. And I can say the same thing for T-Swift herself as a singer...only superficially, of course (LOL).

Erik, Linda looks like Taylor Swift in that Giants Stadium photo. No wonder you posted it. Boy, you sure are observant. IT REALLY DOES LOOK LIKE HER.

Linda's not just a musical chameleon, I swear I've seen pictures of her looking like Sally Field, Linda Blair, Victoria Principal, Katie Couric, and even (gulp) Sara Palin! (sans glasses)

Here's Linda looking decidedly not like T-Swift (LOL), performing as Neil Young's opening act at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on March 26, 1973:

(sans glasses) I wouldn't be so concerned if she did look like (gulp!) Sarah Palin. But I don't think they resemble each other that much, except perhaps in Sarah Palin's younger, beauty contest days. It's remarkable that Linda remained on good terms with Bobby and Kenny after the Stone Poneys had split. Staying on good terms didn't happen with other groups that broke up, not even with acts where some or all of the band members were family members. I always thought it kind of sad that the Stone Poneys didn't continue because Linda and Bobby did work together after Kenny split for India on the heels of "Different Drum." And then Kenny worked with Linda throughout much of the 70s and of and on afterwards. There was always one missing from the equation and yet, as much as these guys stayed friends, one wonders why didn't they all didn't get back together at least once?

Bobby was more into Folk music and writing stuff that Linda wasn't particularly well suited for at least in her mind. The music world was changing and she changed too. We may have Bobby to thank for some wonderful Ronstadt performances at McCabes Guitar shop as he managed the place during the 1970's for awhile. Some of the finest high and lonesome sounds came from Linda at McCabes.

I wouldn't put her at 22 in that photo as she just looks so incredibly young. Maybe 19 or 20, as I would place this photo as being taken amytime around 1966 to maybe early 1967.

No offense but I've always thought that was a really strange looking photo of Linda. And that same photo shoot gave us an incredible press photo that was stunning.
I do find it interesting though that just like Linda's music is loved differently by different fans so are her photos. And in the opposite direction with Elvis fans I have also noticed a strangeness amongst the women fans with their heavy makeup, high or fluffed hair and often masculine features. Maybe that is cultural or regional. Bill Clinton's mom looked like a typical Elvis fan chick to me...albeit an older version.

Actually I think it was circa 1972-73 which would make Linda about 26 or 27. It may even be 1971. It was used extensively between Eponymous and Don't Cry Now. I suppose it could have been taken years before and only then used but I am not sure her publicist would want to use older photos.

Of course it's hard to tell sometimes, because she wore those hoop earrings for a long time. I think it got easier to tell what year and what album as the years went on........her change of hairstyles and clothes. But that is a really nice picture of her. Linda has never taken a bad picture in her life IMO.......she's just too darn cute.
