In this interview Linda mentions she has recorded some Carole King songs. She also mentions that she wanted to record a vocal group album similiar to Manhattan Transfer. She said Tim Hauser helped her. I have an idea. Can one of us fans who is savvy with online fundraising set up a gofund me page or similiar fundraising website to raise money to buy a cd of these recordings? Maybe we can title the cd:
"Linda's trash is her fan's treasure". We can raise the money in advance for her to make this cd. If we pay in advance maybe she will do this for us.

I thought that Linda was referring to what came out on the "Winter Light" album'--the Carole King song was "Oh No Not My Baby" and the vocal group song was "It's Too Soon to Know." Not sure that there are any others in the vault.

Actually, she said she didnt think she sang Carole's songs good enough. James Taylor told her if she doesnt release them he will record "you got a friend". It was around 1970 when she recorded some of Carole King's songs. I believe the vocal quartet on her HBO concert "Whats New" is the type of album she was hoping to put out after the 3rd nelson riddle album. She has some unpolished unreleased recordings I hope we get to hear some day.

I guess that was around when she recorded "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow". That would be fantabulous if there were more C. King songs out there. Mr.K. do you know where you saw in print the convo between James and Linda? eddiejinnj
Gave it a run through listen and I do remember it. Is he the man that did the Aus TV interview. It sounds just like him. No?

Her comments about both things are in this audio interview with Joe Smith. Maybe we can start a petition committing $20 or $30 each to pay for linda getting these unpolished recordings worked on and released.

Not sure but I think we would have to get Linda's permission. Not sure she would make that commitment on donated dollars but your idea is good and certainly well-intentioned. Hey, you never know; she may go for it. I am sorry, I will listen to whole interview. I was perusing it since I didn't have a lot of time. eddiejinnj
