RAMS TO LOSE SUPERBOWL!!
Hard to win when the deflater in chief is the opposing quarterback.

I am an admitted "homer", but I don't blush for it; I definitely want the Rams to win Super Bowl 53, not merely to spite Tom Brady or the New England Patriots (whose owner is too much of a Trump supporter, for starters), but to re-establish the history of L.A. sports fans appreciating the NFL, an appreciation we had gotten taken away from us in 1995, when both the Rams and Raiders vacated the L.A. market because they couldn't get public funding for a new stadium.
And it would be a great boost for us, because the new stadium in Inglewood that will house both the Rams and the Chargers, and host Super Bowl 56 in 2022, is now a little over two-thirds finished, expected to be finished in time for the 2020 season. The Rams have had a long history in Los Angeles, from Bob Waterford and Ellroy "Crazylegs" Hirsch in the early 1950s, through the Roman Gabriel/Fearsome Foursome era of the late 1960s/early 1970s, and the Jim Everett/Eric Dickerson era of the 1980s. Hopefully, that history will be topped off with the Lombardi Trophy on Sunday night in (not-so-hot) Atlanta.

I don't have much emotional investment in this game, but I would much rather see Trump fan Tom Brady and his team lose.

Well, it's a bust. The Patriots won 13-3.

Quote by Dianna:
Yes he did, and he retired from pro football with the Rams, but his best years were with the New York Jets, whom he QB'd to victory in Super Bowl 3. Nevertheless, I thank you Dianna for reminding folks that Namath was here in L.A.
I know not many here are up on pro sports of any kind (forgetting that politics has become something of a "sport" itself, as well as a "reality" freak show too). But I did feel very sick for the Rams last night, going up against a team and a quarterback that have tended to roll over the competition. I don't doubt that the Rams will at some point bring a Lombardi Trophy back here to L.A., maybe next year. But this loss is going to sting for a while, believe me.
