Can't wait to watch this, it's been quite a while since she's done an on-camera interview. German, not sure if you’re aware of the lengthy interview she did w/ Paul Magers that was shown on CBS stations in California. There is a longer version than this clip, but this is more recent than 2004 —

She did a lot of interviews in 2013-2014 when she was promoting her memoir but only a few since then that I've seen.

It's always lovely to see Linda on TV but it made me sad, especially since I've been listening to the new live album a lot this weekend. Sad because she (and we) have been robbed of her glorious, powerful voice.

Great interview and footage from her career. Love her humor, she still looks and sounds really good. The scene at the end where she waved goodbye to the crowd was so sad. The full interview is on cbsnews.com in case anyone missed it.

They said four consecutive platinum records, it was seven. Heart Like a Wheel thru Mad Love. Or did Prisoner in Disguise fall short?

Quote by MikeKoecher:
I believe Prisoner went Gold not too long after its release, and then it hit the Platinum mark by the time Hasten Down The Wind was released in the late summer of 1976.
As for the interview itself, which I saw when I got up this morning, it does seem like Linda is in relatively good spirits considering what she has had to fight through and what she will have to fight through from now on. She obviously does look her age now, which of course is inevitable; but it is still something of a shock because, for so long, she looked younger than she actually was. By the same token, however, she doesn't seem anxious to give up on life and, as the interviewer said, she has learned to never say never about anything.
We probably have not yet heard the last from Linda, I daresay.

I know muse. We are pining for "Party Girl" and that last note. I do have the dvd of this and it is good quality. This morning it was a good relaxed interview. Liked some of her self-confessed personality traits to show even our icons are people too. Excellent promo for new album. It is now number 1 on Amazon!!!!!! eddiejinfl

Thanks for posting. I don't think she and Jim Carrey were ever engaged. (just enjoyed each other's company) George Lucas and Quint Davis were the only two engagements I know about unless she was engaged to the elusive "Rick" we are all wondering about.

So glad she did this interview. Hard to see her looking so frail. I feel very fortunate to have attended her (what-may-have-been) last public appearance doing a career discussion. I had a feeling when I bought my ticket that it might be the last time I was in her presence. The thing she said that made me smile was her talking about keeping her award with her crowbar in case she has to pry the roof off of her house in case of an earthquake. We will not see the likes of her again.

Nice to see she hasn't lost her sense of humor (albeit self-deprecating at times). I've never thought of Linda as lazy, but glad she can rest on her laurels after decades of working and touring. She seems to have good coping skills and a solid support system. I wish her all the best in this tough situation and will cherish the memories of past performances and her musical legacy.

Heartbreaking segment. It wasn't included. Linda sure keeps a comfy looking home. I notice Mom and Dad photo on the piano.
