Took my Mom to a movie theater having a one day showing of the 1954 film "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera Ellen. Sisters is done several times throughout the movie (once in a drag sequence by Bing and Danny). Not only is there a connection in the movie to a song later done by Linda, there is her connection to Rosemary Clooney. It is sometimes amazing how ubiquitous Linda is throughout our culture (X degrees of separation stuff).

There is a strong connection for Linda to the movie and song. She sang "White Christmas" with Rosemary who was in the movie and also sang Rosemary's song in the same movie with Bette. eddiejinnj
PS: I got a cd the other day at a thrift shop. It was a 2006 Make-A-Wish Foundation Christmas 2 CD set (one cd was called "Glisten". The other called "Glow"). Linda's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" is on the "Glow" cd. Unfortunately, in my excitement to buy it I did not check out the contents and there were 3 cds in it but only "Glisten" from the set. I wanted to tell all about it.

Many is the album I have bought for having just one rare Linda track on it (like Mambo Kings just now!)

Interesting headline on this one " Ronstadt Rejects Duet With Midler Over Sequencing " The headline that was used makes it sound as if Linda did NOT include her "Sisters" duet with Bette when what was underneath just talks about the sequencing, but nothing about leaving it off the album. Weird.

eddie, I emailed the man who runs the site. He feels terrible. He read the article wrong and misinterpreted it. He is working on fixing it. He’s a good man.

Oh ok, cool. I was just guessing based on what hb said that whatever source it seemed that there was a kind of "drama" title with no real drama as far as content. All have a great day!!! eddiejinfl

Do me a favor, Rick, can you tell the site owner to fix Linda's name in the main 2 sided pic of article. Her name is spelled "Ronstandt". Thanks so much!!

Do me a favor, Rick, can you tell the site owner to fix Linda's name in the main 2 sided pic of article. Her name is spelled "Ronstandt". Thanks so much!! eddiejinfl eddie, I saw that he spelled "Ronstadt" wrong. When I emailed him weeks ago to let him know that he misunderstood (his headline was something about Linda REJECTING the use of the "Sisters" duet) and that, yes, indeed, "Sisters" is on Linda's "Duets" album, he wrote me back saying that he cried because he is no Internet professional and that it takes him so much time to work on the website. He's a nice man but not a well man. Here's my attitude: Those of us who know and love Linda know when her name is spelled wrong, we see it all of the time. It's more important to me that the gist of the story/article is correct. The Bette-heads who read it won't notice one way or the other. eddie, sorry, but I am not going to upset him again. Thank you.
