If I could make my five picks out of this list:
The Moody Blues Nina Simone Link Wray Sister Rosetta Tharpe The Zombies
Obviously, I'm not choosing any artist that will necessarily draw eyeballs (maybe raise eyebrows), but it ought to be about music history, not merely about getting attention (IMHO).

Sister Rosetta should have been an original inductee. She was as much a pioneer as anybody.

Nina Simone and the Zombies have my vote.
Annie Lennox belongs in there any way she can get there. Linda once named Annie as her favorite rock singer. I agree. Annie is awesome.
