Terrible to see another loss in the Hollywood acting class. Landau had so many memorable roles, such as portraying a slowly dying Bela Lugosi in ED WOOD, which is where he won his Oscar, and, of course, for being in Mission: Impossible during its 1966-1973 run on TV.
It should also be noted, though, that one of his earliest roles was as one of James Mason's lackeys going after Cary Grant in Hitchcock's 1959 classic NORTH BY NORTHWEST.

The funny thing about growing up in the 1960's if you watched tv was that your favorite stars would be on one series on an FBI type show and the following year be in a space series. Even the character actors you remember from old tv westerns show up on the Moon lol.
