Suspiciously identical "COA" signatures, right next to each other on ebay:

See, that album cover signed by Linda would be something I would love to have as a piece of signed art to frame. I'm obviously a huge fan, but I don't have any images of Linda on my walls. That said, this album cover, Silk Purse, or Simple Dreams, would, I think, make interesting photographic art in their own right, but I could only justify being so on the nose with my fandom if the album cover was autographed.
I might have fallen for either one had that second listing not been within such proximity to the first, exposing suspiciously identical (and suspiciously identically placed) signatures side by side.
"COA?" Right. Evidently you can't trust that anymore, either.

It is possible that Linda signed a couple of albums for someone. She had a lot of pre-signed books on her tour. Not unusual for something similar to have happened during better days.

That's true.
What I'm calling into question is the absolutely identical signatures in absolutely identical places on these two album covers. Impossible.
Unless mechanically printed.

It isn't inconceivable to me. I have several copies of Simple Dreams (the book) signed by Linda in the same location and identical signatures. Not a bit off. Also I have several albums with identical signatures that she signed in front of me. At least I think it was her.

Did you click on the image in the original post? Try it yourself. Simply sign your name twice and see if there aren't differences in your two signatures. And these sellers want me to believe that Linda could sign her name (at least) twice with not one iota of difference between them? And in the same location on the album cover, right down to exact coordinates? There is a ripoff here that I nearly fell for, which is why I'm still harping on this.
