Yes, they are a national epidemic at the moment, what with Halloween being around the corner, not to mention a presidential election (and this year, who could tell the difference between the two?)

Since every new technology seems to provide some kind of fresh form of high strangeness, it should be no surprise that 'sleep apps' have produced some truly unsettling sounds.
YouTube user Top5s has put together an astounding collection of five anomalous and apps recordings made via apps used to record sounds that people make in their sleep.
One such snippet of audio comes from a man who had been receiving complaints from his neighbors about loud voice coming from his apartment at night.
This puzzled him, since he lived by himself, so he used a recording app to see what they were hearing while he was ostensibly sound asleep.
In the chilling recording, a voice asks "what are ya?" and a bizarre, unintelligible voice rambles back in a guttural, raspy response.
Although it could just be the man talking it in his sleep, the 'conversation' is unnerving nonetheless.
Another incredibly strange recording features a series of strange clicking sounds that occur while a woman sleeps.
She then asks "what are you doing," and a man's voice answers "nothing" and then says "it's them."
The recording terrified the woman because the only other person in the apartment that night was her three year old son and the voice clearly did not come from him.
It proved to be so worrisome to the woman that she and her son moved out of the apartment shortly thereafter.
The nightmare fuel-filled video may either inspire you to begin recording your own sleep sounds or convince you never to try such a crazy thing.

'Doomed' Flight Lands Safely January 13, 2017
A normally routine flight by a Finnish airline raised eyebrows today due to an eerie combination of numbers and a final destination that would make even the most seasoned traveler nervous.
That's because it was Finnair Flight 666 that just so happened to be flying on Friday the 13th and headed for Helsinki which boasts that baggage code HEL.
The strange series of worrisome coincidences was spotted by air traffic observers who looked further into the story and also noticed that the plane, itself, was 13 years old!
Despite all of these unsettling details surrounding the trip, the flight was fortunately rather uneventful as it safely arrived in Helsinki this morning without incident.
Whether the passengers even noticed the odd nature of the journey is unknown, but, for those that did, we salute them for being truly brave travelers.

This snake got stuck where?
Published on Jan 31, 2017
Bart the python gets stuck in his owner's earlobe! She tells CNN's Jeanne Moos how ER doctors extricated the snake.
A woman in Oregon wound up in the hospital this week after her pet python somehow slithered into the hole of her pierced ear!
Ashley Glawe of Portland sports the popular style of enlarged ear piercing known as 'gauging' and is also the proud owner of a ball python dubbed 'Bart.'
These two interests intertwined in an unexpected and painful fashion when Glawe wrapped the snake around her neck and the creature slipped into the hole in her earlobe.
Initially stunned and unsure of what exactly was happening, Glawe froze and thought that Bart was attacking her.
Despite the extremely bizarre circumstances, she did not panic once she realized that the snake was stuck in her piercing, knowing that her ear would split if Bart tried to go any further through the hole.
After attempts to coax the creature out of the predicament proved fruitless, Glawe went to the ER where doctors used string to stretch the hole and slip Bart out of the tight squeeze.
Given the jaw-dropping nature of the photos from Glawe and Bart's adventure, we sincerely hope it does not inspire the next alternative fashion look.

Man Transforms Himself into an 'Elf' May 03, 2017
A young man in Argentina has spend over $30,000 on elaborate plastic surgeries in an attempt to transform himself into an elf!
Luis Padron says that being bullied as a child led him to escape into the world of fantasy fiction which is populated by all manner of unique and interesting entities.
Over the course of his teenage years, he became obsessed with the idea of becoming an elf and, at the age of 20, started pursuing that goal with his first surgery.
Over the subsequent five years, Padron has spent a small fortune on surgeries ranging from laser skin bleaching to operations on his nose and jaw.
He also spends over $5,000 a month on a variety of creams and treatments to give his skin an elfish hue.
In the future, Padron also hopes to have operations that will give him pointed ears, a heart-shaped hairline, and even lengthen his body.
Although people on the street are often taken aback by Padron's appearance, the young man has actually found work as a model as well as making appearances at various events.

Cyclops Shark Has One Eye. It’s hard to believe this thing is real and not some fictional cartoon character, but the one-eyed shark here is the real deal and it suffers from a rare condition that has caused the strange appearance. How in the world did it get like this?
A village in India is buzzing over the birth of a remarkable one-eyed goat that some residents have taken to calling a 'miracle.'
The unlikely cyclops was born on May 10th in the Indian state of Assam and instantly captured the attention and imagination of villagers there.
Along with its jaw-dropping singular eye, the baby goat was also born with only one ear, making the unfortunate creature truly a sight to behold.
Although veterinarians suggested that the goat, which is stricken with a condition known as 'cyclopia,' would only live for a few days, it has managed to survive so far, much to the amazement of local residents.
And, as word of the unique creature spread throughout the area, people have begun flocking to the village to see the one-eyed goat, including some who actually worship it.
For his part, the owner of the animal sees the goat as a profound blessing, since the creature has attracted so much attention and made his family 'famous.'
Despite all that, it appears that the one-eyed goat still has no name, although 'Cy' and 'Wink' would probably both work.

Residents of a village in South Africa have been gripped with fear following the birth of a monstrous-looking sheep that appeared to be almost human.
Panic took over the town of Lady Frere when photos of the mutated stillborn lamb spread throughout the community and some of the village elders declared that it had been "sent by the Devil."
Subsequent suspicions of witchcraft at work in the village or an unholy union between man and beast spawned considerable concerns from members of the village.
Their worries were so profound that the South African government actually sent an official to examine the creature and determine its true nature so that the hysteria could be quelled.
Following tests conducted by a veterinarian, it was determined that the unfortunate animal was simply a sheep that had mutated during the gestation process due to a viral infection in its mother.
Despite the assurances by officials that the creature is not demonic, the villagers remain uneasy about the animal and reportedly want to burn it in order to rid the community of any perceived evil it possesses.
Should they go through with their plan, the superstitious villagers will not only rid themselves of the monstrous creature, but they'll also have a good case for having held the weirdest barbecue of 2017.

PILOT FLIES INTO TIME WARP, BRUCE GERNON'S AMAZING BERMUDA TRIANGLE STORY This show on The Bermuda Triangle was one of the best shows I have ever heard on Coast to Coast AM. When the authors get into a discussion of the electronic "fog" especially the story of their encounter with it on the golf course in Florida it gave me the shivers. I had an interesting experience of my own with a fog but nothing like what they did. If the show becomes available on youtube soon I will post it below. If you are interested in the paranormal, Bermuda Triangle or Time Travel and UFO's you will enjoy this show: In the first half, expert in mysteries of the unknown Rob MacGregor and Bruce Gernon (a pilot who has witnessed some strange occurrences) discussed unexplained encounters in the Bermuda Triangle and elsewhere involving such phenomena as "electronic fog," inter-dimensional portals, and UFOs. Gernon detailed his own experience flying through electronic fog while piloting a plane through a storm in the Bermuda Triangle over Andros Island. The fog looks like the "snow" on at TV that's lost its reception and surrounds the aircraft so that you can't fly through it, he recounted, and when he finally broke free he ended up flying through an aerial tunnel that contained strange lines. He believes the electronic fog actually forms in these tunnels.
MacGregor suggested that such tunnels are a natural "warp bubble" that can occur in certain storms, a theory proposed by Professor David Pares. The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 bears some similarities to Bermuda Triangle incidents, and the jet may have encountered electronic fog, MacGregor speculated, adding that it vanished in one of the 12 "vile vortices" that Ivan Sanderson cited as places where things go missing without a trace. MacGregor also outlined a bizarre 2007 incident at the Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Florida when two men felt anomalous sensations accompanied by a sudden dense wall of fog that seemed to come for them, along with a high-pitched screech that tore through the night. www.coasttocoastam.com/show/2017/07/19A New Explanation for an Enduring Enigma
www.electronicfog.com/
Is there an explanation for the thousands of people who have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle? What can we learn from Charles Lindbergh, Christopher Columbus, and Bruce Gernon - the coauthor of The Fog --all of whom survived their frightening encounter in the Bermuda Triangle? Others have seen parts of this phenomenon and some have seen it, but vanished. Gernon is the only person to have witnessed its birth stage through the mature stage, to enter the heart of the Timestorm, escaping through a Tunnel Vortex and resulting in a time warp of 30 minutes forward in time, and 100 miles forward in space.
After 31 years of research Gernon discovered how he had flown those 100 miles in such a short time and never seen the Earth or sky around him. He was captured by what he calls Electronic Fog. There are dozens of planes and boats that have been in this fog through out history. And there are dozens more that have crashed because it can induce spatial disorientation. Many have disappeared and some have even disintegrated. All of the people that have been in this fog thought they were traveling THROUGH the fog. Until Gernon’s theory, no one ever realized it is similar to Saint Elmo’s Fire; it attaches itself to the vessel and travels WITH it.
Whatever happened to Flight 19-five navy bombers that vanished on a routine training mission-and the untold numbers of others who have disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle? What we learn from intrepid adventures like Christopher Columbus, Charles Lindbergh, and Bruce Gernon-the co-author of THE FOG-who survived frightening encounters in the Triangle and lived to tell the tale?
THE FOG presents pilot Bruce Gernon’s groundbreaking new theory of the Bermuda Triangle, based upon his own firsthand experiences, eyewitness reports from other close-call Triangle survivors, and leading scientific research. Gernon believes that a rare natural phenomenon may be behind many of the seemingly paranormal happenings in the Triangle, causing time distortions, pilot disorientation, and equipment malfunctions.
Gernon's exciting new theory of the Bermuda Triangle is based upon his firsthand experiences, reports of other survivors, and scientific research. The notorious Bermuda Triangle hasn’t given up all its secrets. THE FOG explores the Triangle’s connection to UFOs, a secret navy base on Andros Island, and a possible link to a vanished ancient civilization.
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Both Bruce Gernon and Rob MacGregor live in South Florida, on the edge of the Bermuda Triangle. Bruce Gernon is a pilot who has flown extensively in the Caribbean. He has appeared in many documentaries about the Bermuda Triangle. Rob MacGregor has written several books, and has won the prestigious Edgar Allan Poe award in mystery writing.

Mysterious moment car appears from nowhere to cause crash
Car appears out of nowhere in puzzling footage
Posted on Friday, 20 October, 2017 |
An intriguing optical illusion has been leaving social media users scratching their heads this week. Footage recorded by a vehicle's dash cam in Singapore recently shows the moment a silver car appears, as if from nowhere, right in front of another car that is exiting a busy intersection.
The video ended up going viral, with various media outlets referring to the vehicle as a 'ghost car'.
According to reports, nobody was injured in the smash, however there has been a lot of confusion over exactly where the offending vehicle came from at the moment of the collision.
The answer, as it turns out, is that it was actually there all along, moving towards the right just as the white car was doing the same. From the perspective of the camera, the silver car is hidden from view and only becomes visible when the white car stops at the intersection.
The shadows on the road and the distortion of the dash cam also help to cement the illusion.

I keep forgetting to write this story on this thread. This happened to me last summer. I was shopping at the goodwill (along with flea markets which are my favorite stores) I found this gorgeous victorian looking bridal doll.. She was vintage, probably made in the 1980's but made to look antique. I don't normally buy used dolls for Annabelle obvious reasons.. but I thought, she's too pretty to pass up.. I get the doll home and in the back of mind, I thought, I'm gonna watch for activity or weird stuff... Nothing out of the usual happened but there was still this cautious feeling I had. A few days later bedtime, I get up from sleeping to use the restroom, I was kind of groggy, looked over at the toilet and there was blood on the seat.. My first logical thought was maybe the dogs drank out of the bowl and had food in their mouth and messed up the seat or maybe one of them injured their mouth.. I checked their mouths nothing and that was for sure blood on the seat.. The next day I got rid of the doll.

Wow. Those baby dolls look way too real. I can see lots of problems happening with them as jokes or pranks or even excuses by baby killers saying they thought it was a fake baby. Look at the problems caused by authentic looking toy guns with cops killing kids. It is beginning to be hard to tell real from fake in just about everything. I want one.

In 1955 my parents moved us into a new house on eastern L.I.N.Y. (within the same township as the famous Amityville house) It was a Victorian era house near the ocean. It was known around the little hamlet as the house of windows with the wrap-around porch. It later turned out to be quite haunted with most of the ghostly attention focused on me. Within a year I had my worst nightmare. Even though I was barely 3 years old the memory is still vivid in my mind. I was standing in our huge living-room which was devoid of furniture. Just bare wooden floors. The many huge windows left little to no wall space and the winding porch outside framed the wall of windows. I was standing inside, home alone and heard a noise, like paws running back and forth on the porch. I was very afraid but walked over to the windows to see what was outside. All of a sudden a group of wolves crashed through the windows on top of me and that is the last thing I remembered about that episode. I re-lived that incident over and over as I grew and have had an abnormal fear of wolves and large dogs ever since.
This clip reminded me of that time. Yet, this was strangely funny to me. In fact, I couldn't stop laughing.

'Demon Doll' Video Goes Viral March 20, 2018
A bizarre video circulating online has become something of a viral sensation by way of its eerie star: a creepy demonic-looking doll.
The nearly-two-minute-long piece of footage features the nightmarish toy propped atop a grave with a baby bottle filled with red liquid, ostensibly meant to be blood, sitting next to it.
And, chillingly, the doll's eyes seem to follow the camera in a rather unsettling fashion as the view circles around it to the tune of some spooky horror music as a soundtrack.
Although almost nothing is known about the origins of the video, that hasn't stopped it from capturing the imagination of social media as it spread like wildfire after popping up online over the weekend.
Over the course of just a few days, the footage has garnered nearly half a million hits as mesmerized viewers can't seem to take their eyes off of the 'demon doll.'
We're guessing that the person behind the video never expected it to turn out this popular and, hopefully, is planning a sequel, since we really want to see where this story goes next.

The Crazy Story Of Carl Tanzler And His Messed Up Relationship With A Corpse here are stories of everlasting love, the sort of bond that transcends space and time. And then there's the story of Carl Tanzler's corpse bride, Elena Hoyos. Even the most romantic individual would have to admit his tale is downright chilling. The German-born Tanzler moved to the United States in 1926 and began working at a Key West hospital. There, he met Maria Elena "Helen" Milagro de Hoyos, and became instantly obsessed. Hoyos was suffering from tuberculosis, and despite Tanzler's efforts, she died. That's when things took a turn for the macabre. The still-besotted Tanzler dug up her body, fitted it back together, and lived with it in his home for seven years. Needless to say, this is not a love story. Whatever the man may have thought or felt, Hoyos was not Carl Tanzler's wife. You could argue that he didn't even truly love her - she was nothing more than a symbol to him. Tanzler's attempts to preserve her corpse were his way of controlling her, even in death. www.ranker.com/list/carl-tanzler-key-west-story/cheryl-adams-richkoff?var=7&utm_expid=16418821-388.8yjUEguUSkGHvlaagyulMg.1&ref=dshare&source=fbshare&utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F
