Another loss for the music business. Billy Joe Royal, who had several pop hits in the middle to late 1960s (including the original version of "I Knew You When"), and hate a career resurgence on the country charts in the mid-80s with his remake of Aaron Neville's 1966 hit "Tell It Like It Is", has died in his sleep at the age of 73:
