Does anyone know where I can find the Sam Bush concert? I am new to this forum and am amazed at all of the great info!! I would love to hear this concert (and any others anyone may have!!)
It says they are no longer available. I am not sure if this concert has sprung up anywhere else.

You might try contacting Julian who used to be a regular here. He has a lot of Ronstadt bootlegs or he may be able to direct you in the right direction:

Julian is located in Catalonia Spain. Great guy.

Folks have mentioned Linda guesting with Toto. This was on "Stay Away", a track from the group's 1988 album The Seventh One:
It kind of makes me wonder why they didn't release this as a single, as "Toto featuring Linda Ronstadt". Of course, it might have caused a bit of musical whiplash too, since at the time of this song's release, Linda had Canciones De Mi Padre out as well.

Sam Bush did record with Linda and Ann on Adieu False Heart I think. Anyone else know? I don't have the physical copy of the album any longer so I couldn't say for sure.

The entire Albert Brooks album is available on various youtube downloads. I've put together an entire CD from youtube. By the way, LR is Al Jolsen (perhaps more amazing than Abe Lincoln). I think she is also on the "party from outer space" clip. Again, the cross-over in the 70s was amazing. I saw the Albert Brooks album on amazon as a 2017 re-release and just bought it (there are two left). Have to check out the liner notes to see if they list what songs she is on (when I get it Weds). There are a larger number of albums where the CDs are out of print (if they ever were CDs) that Linda sings on. Have downloaded mp3's from YouTube (when KeepVid still worked) and some of the old Linda Ronstadt webpages, but would love it if the following CD's were available still (list compiled from www.ronstadt-linda.com/guestapp.html): - MICHAEL BREWER - BEAUTY LIES - Hearts Overflowing - MICHAEL DINNER - THE GREAT PRETENDER - The Great Pretender/Yellow Rose Express/Last Dance in Salinas - TERRI GIBBS - OLD FRIENDS - You Can't Run Away From Your Heart - HEARTS AND FLOWERS - NOW IS THE TIME FOR HEARTS AND FLOWERS - Road to Nowhere - HUDSON (BROTHERS) - DAMN THOSE KIDS - Afraid to Love - ADAM MITCHELL - REDHEAD IN TROUBLE - Dancin' Round and Round/Out Among the Stars - JOHNNY RIVERS - ROAD - Wait A Minute/Geronimo's Cadillac/I Like Your Music - JOHN STEWART - DREAM BABIES GO HOLLYWOOD - Odin - JOHN STEWART - BLONDES - The Queen of Hollywood High

linda sings background vocals on Johnny Rivers Road album. Yes, his version of Geronimo's Cadillac is my favorite, and Linda's supporting vocals are prominent.

The entire Albert Brooks album is available on various youtube downloads. I've put together an entire CD from youtube. By the way, LR is Al Jolson, not Lincoln (perhaps Jolson is more amazing than Abe Lincoln). I saw the Albert Brooks album "A Star Is Bought" on Amazon as a 2017 re-release and just bought it (there are two left). Have to check out the liner notes to see if they list what songs Linda is on (when I get it Weds).
Got the CD yesterday - Linda is NOT listed as a musician but both her and Emmylou Harris are listed in the General Thanks section. So it must be both Emmylou and Linda as Al Jolson on Track 4 "Party from Outer Space (Phony Hits)". Linda does have a speaking part as herself on Track 1 "In The Beginning". Kenny Edwards and Andrew Gold are some of the musicians listed (no attributes to which track(s) however). Wonder if there was any pressure from Linda on these guys to work on her boyfriend's album.

Gotta love "An American Dream", anybody else catching her cooing and moaning at about 1 minute into the song "When her voice is tickling down inside his ear"? She is the gift that keeps on giving

I love me that song. At first, I didn't realize it was Linda when I heard it and started getting territorial. Then I realized that it was Linda and instantly loved it. I had wished Linda got the song "Gold" by John Stewart. Linda showed she could do a similar background on the song "Odin". Am not analyzing Ms. Nicks version; just that Linda could have done it equally as well, if not better. eddiejinnj

I really like her backup singing on Warren Zevon's "Excitable Boy."

Quote by germancanadian re. "Excitable Boy":
Yes, she and Jennifer Warnes are both great on that song--which, incredibly, is saying a lot, given the extremely graphic nature of Zevon's lyrics.

There were three (at least) threads on this same topic, so they are now merged. This should bring it back up to the top.
Although to my ear, I don't hear Linda very clearly here, she did back-up vocals on Carly Simon's "Another Passenger" album --

WOW!! thanks for posting the Carly stuff...yeah...its Linda...the backing tone is so clear and true...they just put Carly's backing layer way up in the mix, I think...those are really cool songs...Carly has def got an original east coasty kinda vibe
I think Linda's best backing stuff is the layers on her motown covers and with Paul Simon...UP in the mixes!
