I saw Ronstadt Generations perform at the Farmers Market in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania yesterday, just outside of Hershey. What amazing musicians they are.......and just wonderful people. I interviewed Linda's younger brother Michael on the phone last week, and I'm working on an article which I'm posting this weekend. I had the chance to meet Mike, his sons Michael G. and Petie, and Linda and Michael's cousin Alex Flores. I find it so amazing that just last month I interviewed Linda on the phone and saw her in Wilmington, Delaware. Now I got to meet her brother and her nephews as well. Now I guess I just have to meet Linda in person.......someday! LOL Here are a couple of photos from their performance. I will upload more later.

They are amazing musicians - I've seen them twice and missed them twice (Xmas vacation and sick) - hope to see them again this year. Petie looks naked without his beard - it was one righteous beard.

Yes, that was some beard he had. I almost didn't recognize him when he was coming in and out of the café......they had to set up inside because of rain. I thought he looked like a Ronstadt but I wasn't sure. Good-looking guy! I think he's the spitting image of his grandfather, Gilbert. I can definitely see the resemblance.

They are mostly in NJ-PA, but a performance at the Bitter End in NYC and workshops in Westminster MD and quick stops in OH, IL, and MO. Listening to them reminds me of what the Sunday afternoon family gatherings Linda wrote about in her biography were probably like. www.ronstadtgenerations.com/

You know, I got the same feeling you did. That must have been wonderful growing up that way. Linda was so lucky to have such a loving, nurturing family.

Jason, this is a wonderful, comprehensive interview! You did a great job of integrating the history of the family with the evolution of Ronstadt Generations. It's remarkable that there are so many talented family members who are carrying on the tradition with eclectic musical choices. I'm seeing them for the first time at Puck on July 4th. When I originally made my plans, I didn't know they were going to play The Bitter End, which is a legendary club. I'm hoping they will continue to appear at venues in NY. Thanks again for posting your interview with the Ronstadt clan!!

I will definitely be talking with Mike again in the future I'm sure. What a great guy!

It is great the whole Ronstadt family is keeping the music going. In the rare event another with Linda's rare voice pops up in this or the next generation he or she will be a natural to succeed. There are many many out there with Linda's gift but few have the will and stamina to take it to the world for whatever reason. An upbringing rich in family values and music goes a long way towards creating that confidence.

Quote by Goldie: There very well may be one--her second cousin, Britt: Britt at last year's Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, doing the Paul Craft song "Keep Me From Blowing Away" that Linda recorded for Heart Like A Wheel.

You can't find much about Britt on youtube and she may be too old now to catch on with the young public that is so critical. When Linda started out she was everywhere and a young 22 with her first hit. I think that is what it takes. Lots of fortitude.

Wonderful show at Puck in Doylestown in a small, intimate setting. Perfect venue for creating a "living room" atmosphere with these multitalented members of a remarkable family!
