I am from NJ too, tapill. Cool, you heard "The Dolphins". Over the years, I have changed my opinion re: her low notes on "do you ever think of 'me'. When I really listen to it she done good. lol. At first, I had thought she was kind of struggling to reach it but it seems better to me now if that makes sense.

Agree with you about those low notes.

It's not really the radio, but I heard Blue Bayou this afternoon when I ran into the Kroger Supermarket on Hilton Head Island, SC. They have their own music system (as opposed to a public radio station) and I've heard a variety of Linda's music over the past year or so...everything from What's New to Heat Wave to Easy for You to Say! Heat Wave yesterday morning in a Pavilions supermarket (part of the Albertsons/Vons group).

Seaview CD 104.9 out of SW Florida played "Ooh Baby Baby" about 5 days ago (I been meaning to post this for a few days). They truly play a mix of songs that are not heard anymore on other stations even oldies one in my experience. Heard "Ode to Billy Joe" and "Swingtown" as an example this morning. They stream online if anybody is interested. eddiejinfl

Yesterday, we heard on CD 104.9 out of the Port Charlotte area that Linda was coming up next but we left the car before the song came on. The station does play older stuff that other stations don't play. eddiejinfl

This morning on KOLA 99.9 FM San Bernardino:
Casey Kasem's American Top 40: The 80's.
Week ending April 11, 1987.
"Somewhere Out There", Linda's duet with James Ingram from the Spielberg-produced 1986 animated film An American Tail, stands at #27 this week, having peaked at #2 a month before. It goes on to win Song Of The Year at the Grammys in early 1988.
On KPFK 90.7 FM, a listener-sponsored public radio station here in L.A., they have a Saturday morning program called Roots Music And Beyond. For one set that saluted the Country Music Association's exhbit called Western Edge, which is about the roots and reverberations of L.A.'s country-rock scene, they played Linda's live (recorded at The Troubadour in 1971) version of Neil Young's country-rock ballad "Birds", which is on her self-titled 1972 album...a real friendly gesture on their part (IMHO).
