Tonight (Saturday, Nov. 22) the new motion picture adaptation of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's "Into the Woods" was screened in both New York and Los Angeles. Afterward, members of the cast, the film's director Rob Marshall, and the original book writer of the show James Lapine, gathered for a post-screening Q&A -- Video of Q&A w/ 'Into the Woods' film cast Separately, on Sunday, November 9, at the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts in Costa Mesa, CA, Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine and members of the original Broadway production of "Into the Woods" were reunited. In addition to a Q&A, the cast members also performed songs from the show. I was fortunate to have been able to attend the evening performance. The evening performance sold out so quickly that a matinee performance was also added to the schedule. To my knowledge, the Segerstrom Center in Costa Mesa, CA, is the only venue where the reunion took place.
