entertainthis.usatoday.com/2014/10/28/jim-carrey-lived-with-his-parents-while-dating-linda-ronstadt/Even as told to Howard Stern it is awfully sweet. Linda has the very unusual claim that all her former boyfriends - Steve Martin, Albert Brooks, Bill Murray, Jerry Brown, JD, Carrey and George Lucas among others only speak of her with deep affection and warmth. That is odd in the ordinary world - let alone the nasty crazy self centered arena of show biz. Even rarer she says almost nothing. The actual interview is up on YouTube and is more extensive. Since we know Howard and Robyn have knocked heads, years ago with Linda, it is really nice to hear them all just embracing the very thought of her. Maybe someone more adept than I could post the link. Thanx

Very charming--it also speaks volumes that Linda has remained friends with so many of her ex-boyfriends. I think Jim Carrey did live with her for a brief time, though.

I had heard about this before actually. Jim was very lucky to have had that experience. Nice to hear him speak so kindly and respectfully of Linda. Of course we all know the kind of person Linda is. Jim is right........she is an absolutely incredible human being.

I'd love to get this in a higher quality, without the sound problems!

this is one concept video of Linda's that succeeded. prior to mtv, as in the mad love vids, videos seemed to be the artist with their band playing the single they are promoting and in Linda's case we got a live version of the songs. "you took advantage of me" is very well done and she is soooooo cute in it!!!!! stern and quivers both acted as if nothing happened with linda. I think it was good judgment on their part. stern seems to realize how much she is revered and of course how beautiful she is. eddiejinnj

At the time, I thought it was a rumor that they were dating--what an unlikely pair. Linda climbing into the window of the car is hilarious--almost as funny as going to college in her nightgown. These stories are priceless.

Linda has told some wonderful stories in interviews and personal appearances. I love the one about her sister crying when Hank Williams died. She told Linda that their grandfather died, because she was embarrassed that she was so upset.

I had no idea Hank Williams was Linda's grandfather. What a great musical connection!

well if Gomer comes back in he will see this. You misread the above post. Hank Williams is not her grandfather. eddiejinnj

Sorry Gomer misread my message. I thought it was pretty clear and most of you must have already heard that story.

I had no idea Hank Williams was Linda's grandfather. What a great musical connection! Hank Williams was not Linda Ronstadt's grandfather. Her father's father Frederico was the son of a mining engineer and owner of a general store/ stagecoach depot. Her grandfather turned it into Ronstadt's Hardware in Tucson, Arizona. Her mother's father was a car design engineer Lloyd Copeman in Michigan. Copeman was, also, an inventor. He invented the pneumatic grease gun, the electric stove burner element and the metal ice tray along with the concept of the car radio.

This misconception has been explained several times in the forum!! As the story goes, Linda's sister told her that she was crying about their grandfather passing away because she was embarrassed that she was so upset that Hank Williams had died. We all are aware of the family history and the accomplishments of their maternal grandfather Lloyd Copeman.
