Yeah, I could just see myself right now. I'd be nervous as heck to begin with, probably hyperventilate and then pass out in her arms. That would be a good way to go wouldn't it? It would probably be as close to heaven as you and I could ever hope to get. And when you came to, just think; you'd be looking into the eyes of an angel!

I've always thought Linda has the most gorgeous pair of eyes I've ever seen. I look at particular photos of her and she really does remind me of an angel......or what you think an angel would look like in heaven. That face is so sweet and precious. And the voice.......what else can you say? It just leaves me speechless. Only one word comes to mind........heaven!

You know that if you were to interview her (in the same room) you would need to control yourself? lol

I surprised no one's every mentioned her "ring". For part of the 70s, she wore a ring on her ring finger. It didn't look expensive, and I often wondered if it was a "friendship/pre-engagement" ring from a suiter (and who) or if it was a ring she bought (perhaps a feminist statement). Perhaps Dianna can explain the formalities about wearing rings on the ring finger - could be the closest she got to an engagement ring. In my mind's eye, the same photos/videos show a little gold-heart ring on her left-hand little finger also. She never really seemed to have a large amount of jewelry (given her wealth), and what little she did have she seemed to wear always. Again, gifts from others or from herself? I wonder if the crescent/star necklace was a gift from Cat Stevens. She had another long necklace later with little gold bits that wound around her neck a couple of times. The silver bangles were another look that lasted a year or two. I don't remember her wearing earrings after she stopped wearing the big hoop ones. I don't know about formalities or ediquitte of why women wear non engagement or friendship/promise rings on the ring finger.. Some women would follow tradition.... For me, I don't necesarrily follow that rule.. sometimes, we like the ring so much and want to wear it and the ring finger is the only finger it will fit on. Oh and the earrings, I think around living in the usa, she wore little daimond studs and I've also seen her wearing some very nice dangle earrings, they could also be diamonds.. but very pretty and stood out with her then short hair. here is the clip with bonnie raitt which shows the dangle earrings and tennis bracelet close up. probably white gold or platinum. the bracelet is more like a diamond bangle bracelet and the stones go all the around!!!.. quite nice, ms ronstadt..

She was irresistible! LOL

Yes, that would be a good idea. Although I think I might be more nervous talking to her on the phone, which is probably how I'll most likely interview her.......if I get an interview. But I really do hope to meet her in person if she does a book tour. I will go anywhere to meet her! As far as doing an interview with Linda for a story, it will depend on where she is appearing.......if it's close to where I live, which is not likely, as I live in a pretty rural area in PA. My best bet to meet her would probably be Philadelphia or New York City.

Jason, I sure hope you get the interview with Linda.. Maybe I missed something here.. do you have access to an interview with her? Good Luck to you. Unless you're more comfortable or used to face to face, it seems it might be easier to conduct one over the phone.. or maybe via webcam.. I hear she uses a comptuer.

I guess I should weigh in on this, and say that I would only desire her autograph on a copy of one of my vinyl albums of hers. That would be enough for me.

I think Linda is easy to talk to. or so it seems... I'm not sure how many of us here have actually met Linda in person.. I know ronstadtfanaz has and another poster Rich who doesn't post anymore has met her and some guy drillen for oil sat by her on a plane.. Mark Islam I believe has a connection as well.. She seems very approachable and non intimidating IMO..

I had the privilege of meeting her during the Dedicated tour in 1996 (where DOES the time go) and she was exceedingly patient for over 2 hours until all the fans met her and got their autographs (she even posed for some pictures..it was at a Borders book store)... she even stopped and walked over to soothe a crying little girl

I've collected a number of items of Linda myself, probably not as many as most people here. But that would be so cool if she could sign everything I have. Actually I would be satisfied if Linda could sign one of my LPs, like Erik said. I recently bought a copy of "Heart Like a Wheel" on ebay, which is in near mint condition. It would be fitting for her to sign that, since it was the album that made her a star.

I actually got in touch with Linda's assistant through a publicist for Simon & Schuster, the publisher of her book. So I e-mailed her assistant, Janet, and she replied. She actually called and left me a message. She told me Linda wasn't doing any press yet and to get back to her in a couple of months. So we'll see what happens. I'm hoping!

I have had the opportunity to meet Linda several times. She has always been more than gracious. WOW! Lucky you! How did you manage that? I would love to have had the opportunity to see her that many times, but I just want to meet her PERIOD! I know I would be the happiest man alive! I'm sure she has been gracious and very sweet. I've heard so many great things about her........stories from people who have met her. I hope I will have that opportunity.

If I could have anything of Linda's it would be her friendship. A stunningly talented individual who can interpret music and meaning in English and Spanish. When I was in radio I would play her music at every chance but never got an opportunity to see her live or to ever meet her in person. God, what a woman!

I've never heard of Linda being a collector of guitars. Any idea on the number of guitars she owns? Collecting guitars seems to be something a lot of singers and/or musicians do with the money they make from their sales. Elvis had a large number of guitars - many of the guitars he was seen playing in his movies were his own guitars. I can't remember who it was but there was one musician who owned something like 200 guitars! Think it was the guy who played guitar in Cheap Trick. Howard Leese, formerly of Heart, also has or had a large collection of guitars. One has to wonder though as with as busy a schedule as some of them had or have, how they ever found the time to play on all of them? slide, sorry I didn't notice your question before...I don't know how many guitars, but I did get an idea what their value is. I sent you a pm about that. All the pics I've seen and I'm sure many have seen are acoustics, I only know specifically that one is a pre-war Martin. Her son owns some electrics - a Japanese Telecaster, a black bass (probably a Fender?) and a Les Paul acoustic.
