That condition with the extra ankle bone is called os trigonum. I know several dancers who have that and it often becomes a problem doing pointe work. I'm not sure if that genetic predisposition is prevalent in a particular ethnic group.

Is that a huge head on Nelson's right in the limo photo above or just shadow tricks? Seems odd to me.

Rob, it looks like the whole right side of Nelson's tux is missing and that guy's head is attached to him?

Who (pray tell) are the others in the limo no matter the dimension? Phil Collins, Nelson Riddle, ? And where is Jack Nicholson when you need him? Remember in the 1960's the big thing was how many people could fit into a VW Bug? This must be the A List interdimensional version.

I get that I look like somebody else all the time. Each living being/life is unique and different. Somebody could look like Linda but probably can't belt those notes or sing so emotionally as only she can. eddiejinnj I know I have at least one doppleganger: I used to work with a lady who was always telling me I looked like her ex-husband. I always laughed that off until I dropped her off from work one day and she invited me in to look at the photos of her ex-husband. If it wasn't for the fact I was 10 years older than her ex, he and I could've been twins as the resemblance was that close. Her daughter came home shortly after, walked in, saw me and freaked because she thought I was her dad. My younger sister also has a doppleganger: she works at a hospital and one of the nurses there looks enough like my sister that they could be twins too, except for the fact the nurse is slightly older. I met the nurse the other day when I had to be at the ER to get checked out for a problem and couldn't see my regular doctor. I wouldn't have had any trouble believing she was my sister. I agree that someone could look like Linda and probably couldn't belt the notes or sing as emotionally as Linda could, but what if there was a woman who looked like Linda and who could sing, maybe not with the same voice but who could belt and sing as emotionally as what Linda did? It'd be kinda freaky but the odds would probably be against that happening. There were a few male singers who had an Elvis-like voice but they didn't have his looks. To have the looks and the voice would likely have to be an in-the-family thing, like Julian Lennon, who at times looks like his dad John and whose singing voice at times would remind you of his dad's singing voice.

Linda ar the airport with a few friends in 1966....coustesy of San Can! )) very kewl. Is the woman to Linda's left the same woman that keeps popping up in later photographs? I always wondered who she was. Must be a good friend. Awesome photo. I like these kind of down home photos best. If you cut out all the years between when that photo was taken in 1966 and now Linda's face looks almost the same as it does today. The wardrobe is a scream with Linda and her middle friend looking somewhat contemporary. Love it. What is San Can?

Linda ar the airport with a few friends in 1966....coustesy of San Can! )) Also noticed Linda was barefoot. Wonder how long she went around without wearing shoes? I remember Linda was big on going around barefoot in those days. Also noticed the photo is dated May 1966, which made Linda 19 years old at the time. It's also one of the earliest pre-fame photos of Linda I've seen. Wonder if Linda has a copy of this photo in whatever photos she has?

Remember, Linda is also a World Music artist as well so a photo like that might be necessary and folksy to fit a theme.

So this is a photo shoot from when she did the song with Yanka? Bulgarian Dutch is throwing me off. So am just wondering if there is some humor in your response? The hat looks Dutch-like but it is probably a Bulgarian peasant hat. No? I have never seen this before. So it proves how invaluable this forum is for historical content of such a varied vast career. eddiejinnj
PS: Listened to "Angel of the Morning" with Yanka. I knew the song was from a compilation album of World Music. It was a Dutch album of various artists from 2000 called "Female Passion: Women of the World." Still that pic just is most unusual. It looks Dutch, Eastern European and somewhat Oriental because of Linda's eyes and Black hair. It just looks like a photo-shop horror. No offense, certainly to any culture I have mentioned. The coloring looks so fake so that may be throwing me way off. Just the combo. I almost feel guilty saying something not glowing about Linda but it does show man what a trooper. Hey got to give her she tries different stuff and has a natural musical curiosity that spans the globe.

The van was filled with people following Linda's RCMH show. That is a reflection of of someone in the van window Should it irk me that people do not give credit for photos? I'll have to ponder that.

mod cords and belt. we wore cords a lot in hs in the late 70's early 80's. she does look the most quote "hip". so weird that every picture you see from the 64 to 66-67 era she looks trim but her yearbook picture with the short blond hair she looks bloated. almost not like her. it might have been a temporary thing with her especially if she wasn't happy and wanted to get on with her music career. eddiejinnj

Too many guys on here named Robert (sarcasm). Having said that Robertaxel, great picture of some good looking 70's actors and actresses and a director (I'm guessing)along with Linda. But man, Linda really stands out head and shoulders!

In that group of 6 people, that appears to be Wilford Leach in the lower right and Linda Ronstadt in the upper left. Does anyone know Who are the others and what was the occasion?

I don't know who the others are but wouldn't you think it probably 1981 maybe early '82 when her hair was growing in from Mad Love. It does not seem to be when her hair was growing out from the perm say in '79. Her hair is too straight and it makes sense that it was the hair that grew in after the Mad Love crop. She and her hair look great. So shiny!!! eddiejinnj

Just dropped by to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. It is so much more satisfying to view her pics in this format, one by one, with comments, etc., as opposed to seeing dozens of photos side by side. Several I've never seen. Will also add that while she's been stunningly beautiful in all phases of her life, late 60's-early 70's hippie Linda is my personal favorite. Something about that plain, unassuming look perfectly accentuates her natural beauty.

I think it may have been a case of Linda in her early to mid teens feeling insecure about her looks, and how guys viewed her.
